BOOK REVIEW- CODE NAME:PAPA

BOOK REVIEW- CODE NAME: PAPA-Top-secret government operatives can't afford emotional attachments. Years ago, Beckett Hanson broke the rule and fell in love. Hard. She was a spy—like Beckett—until she went dark eight years ago. She simply disappeared. And for Beckett, that meant hardening his broken heart and being the job. Until one phone call changes everything...Indigo Grey left her life behind eight years ago when she became pregnant. Since then, she's lived a “normal” life with her son, until a trip lands them both in some serious hot water. Now her son's life is in danger and Indigo is desperate. The only man who can help her is the man she ran away from—the father of her son. But they’re running out of time… AMAZON
Loved, Loved this story! Every place that I leave a review, I'm giving it the highest rating that I can.   It drew me in right away with some pretty quick action right out of the box in the very first chapter.  What's not to like about a kick-butt mother out to save her young kidnapped son?  She has skills that she put behind her to give her son a normal life, but now the deal changes. She'll do anything and everything she has to to save Sean.   The 2 main characters were hot and still care deeply for each other.  But that  attraction will have to be put aside until later, maybe.   I loved the different POV's that you get to read and see deeper into both Beckett and Indigo because of it.  The connection between the two of them was something else .  Both professionally and personally, I loved it, the author did a great job of getting the emotions of their romance across.  By the way I really liked the name, Indigo and her nickname, "Iggy" to a little lesser degree.   This story had great mystery and danger in it, with more than just one person with a hidden agenda.  About the time you think you have all  the players in a row, bam, you get a peek at someone else.  Not a bit confusing to me thankfully.  Now, of course I wasn't familiar with all the different kind of weapons that Beckett and Indigo had at their disposal, but it didn't really make it any harder for me to read the story.  I got the main idea of it was some serious stuff.  As you can tell from that comment, there is some violence in the story, but at least it doesn't get overly graphic, something else I like.  There were enough twists and turns to the story to keep me involved and interested.  To me this one is a keeper.  Something I just might want to read again.   Every place that I leave a review, my rating is going to be the highest one I can give.

Note:  I had to look up what BDU's were.  It didn't hinder my reading because the sentence it was in helped me figure out it was clothing.  But I just HAD to look it up.

I received an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
