OFFENSE/SICKNESS/

Katie Souza

“See, the church right now is sick and we're praying for healing. And we're believing for healing, and we're decreeing it. We've got our Bibles out and we're quoting our Scriptures and we're fasting and we're praying and we're decreeing and believing. And nothing's happening. You know why? Because while we're fasting, and praying, and decreeing, and believing, we are simultaneously holding onto offense and unforgiveness at our spouse, or at our neighbor, or at our pastor. Or at somebody. You are believing for a healing, but you are being angry and offended at the same time and the sin of offense can shut down the miracle realm!”

*a Place in His Beloved

"God completely understands every struggle that you have,
and every weakness that you fear about yourself.
In His great love for you He has set aside
a place in His Beloved
for you to enjoy and know His fullest affection."

Miracle Testimony with Roger Webb

Miracle Testimony with Roger Webb
Something Like Warm Honey Flows Through Her Body!
As I was leaving WALMART one day, I walked by a woman and felt that I should pray for her, but for some reason I just continued to walked on out to my car. Sitting there, I prayed and asked the Lord where I should go. I got nothing. I sat there for a couple minutes, and I heard the Lord say, “Roger go back and pray for that woman.” So, I quickly headed back into the store and looked for her. When I found her, she was at the Burpee seed rack right by the checkout counter in the garden section. It was not the right place for prayer for it was congested with people waiting in line to check out. I waited for what seemed like forever for her to move to a better location. Finally, I just gave up and walked around a corner a couple aisles away and asked Holy Spirit to have her come to me. Within twenty seconds, she came around the corner and stopped right in front of me. I looked at her and asked, “Do you need a miracle in your life?”
Just as fast as I said it, she threw her hands and face up in the air and cried out, “YES, LORD, YOU KNOW I NEED A MIRACLE.” I asked her what the miracle was that she needed. She said, "I need repairs done to my house and was praying about it just this morning asking the Lord for help.” She also added that she prays for people all the time and does not pray for her own needs because so many people need prayer.
I told her, “The Holy Ghost has sent me to tell you that God has heard your prayer and He is granting you your request TODAY!”
She once again threw her hand up in the air, jerked around a bit and started yelling out VERY LOUDLY, “THANK YOU, JESUS! THANKS YOU, JESUS.” Then, she jerked a couple more times.
I then asked her if there was anything in her body that needed to be healed. She said that she had sugar diabetes. I told her, “This is your day for a miracle. God is going to heal you.” I laid my hands on her, and when I did, she threw her hands up in the air and started to jerk around again. She was getting louder by the minute praising the Lord. (A couple times, I thought she was going to get slain in the Spirit.) She was on the verge of a right out, Holy Ghost fit. About that time, a man came around the corner, and you should have seen the look on his face when he saw her with her hands raised up in the air praising God. He quickly turned his cart around and took off.
I asked her, “What happened when I laid my hands on you?”
She said, “I felt the power of God like an electrical current shoot through my whole body; it started on the top of my head where you put your hand.” As she was telling me this, she started jerking around again and kept shouting, “THANK YOU, JESUS. THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR HEALING ME.” As she was shouting, all of a sudden, she threw her hands straight out from her sides and said, “I just felt something like warm honey fall on my head, and it is slowly going all the way down through my body.” She just stood there for a while with her eyes shut and her arms still stuck off to her sides as the power of God was touching her.
I told her, “That’s the miracle anointing driving the diabetes out of your body, ma’am.”
We were having church up in that garden section. I left this dear woman as the power of God was touching her body and headed back to my car for another assignment.

devil can't kill you so........

d

If the devil can't kill you, he will try to make you insane... He will lie to you about who you really are... He he will attempt harass you and vex your soul. He will whisper fearful things in your ear... He will make what is small seem big and what is big seem small. He will raise dark suspicion within your soul, causing you to walk in mistrust. He will remind you of your sins to make you feel ashamed and dirty. He will hiss that you are unlovable and unworthy. He will argue on behalf of your flesh that you deserve better than this... He will tempt you to seek relief in cisterns of emptiness and futility. Most of all, he will try to cast a spell to make you forget that you are truly a prince or princess of God Almighty... The devil seeks to drive you into the exile of loneliness and despair. Resist him in the Name of the LORD!

* FEAR IN MANY FORMS

When bad situations happen, don't allow fear to settle in. It's destructive.
Anxiety is a form of fear and so is despondency and hopelessness. Those are all natural reactions to bad news, but they don't help anyone. Yes, it's hard going against your emotions, but remember that fear is faith working in reverse.

*a Cease and Desist Order

Today from Jane Hamon:

A Spiritual Cease and Desist Order!

Daniel chapter 7 tells us about the activity in the court of heaven. God is the Judge and Supreme Ruler and we are the Ekklesia...the church... Which in Greek is the legislative body ruling over the land.

As we at Vision Church at Christian International have pondered this concept, one of our leaders, Dr. Chuck Lorrain, felt it was appropriate to write a legal statement to be presented in the court of heaven during a time of corporate meeting.

Here is an example of a Cease and Desist Order he wrote for Believers to use in their Appeal to Heaven.

We, the corporate Body of Christ, as the legal representative of the Lord Jesus Christ here on earth, decree and declare to Satan and the powers of darkness the following cease and desist order:

You shall immediately—

Cease and desist your attacks on the physical bodies of the body of Christ

Cease and desist in robbing the financial resources of the body of Christ

Cease and desist in destroying the material possessions of the body of Christ

Cease and desist in stealing the vision of the body of Christ

Cease and desist in interfering with, or causing delay, in the promises of God to the body of Christ.

Cease and desist in causing lethargy and apathy in the body of Christ

Cease and desist in causing dullness of hearing in the body of Christ

Cease and desist in causing diminished vision in the body of Christ

Cease and desist in hindering the voice of the Lord from going forth to the body of Christ.

We further decree and declare that you shall return double of all that you have taken, stolen, or destroyed, with interest, to the body of Christ.

So shall it be executed on this day, the 23rd day of April 2014

So let it be done on earth as it is in heaven—
Amen

BOOK REVIEW: CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE

Two different people, two different world's and life experiences. Nick and Annie are headed for a
collision and it doesn't look like at first they have any idea its coming.  Annie remembers Nick, but he knows a whole lot about her life, way back when.  That life held nothing but pain so she's comfortable with her freedom on the open range.  There she was hiding from men, dressed like one and hunting like one.  Nick is a total opposite, a city man with high ambitions to continue to make his way properous. There's no way these can fit, is there?

I had mixed feelings about this book.  Although I really wanted to see Nick and Annie work things out and come together, I really had a hard time getting through a lot of this book.  On the down side, I didn't really like the business part of Nick's story.  The railroad and the political elements I didn't really enjoy that much. Now, Nick and Annie, the story between them I did find interesting.  Annie was an interesting story all on her own, she went through an incredible amount of pain and suffering.  The story also was about both of them finding God and letting Him really lead their lives, to trust Him.
I do have to admit as it got towards the end of the book, I did cry at the unselfish decisions that Annie had to make. The author definitely definitely roped me in on that part.

I received a FREE copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers as part of their book review program, and I am under no obligation to write a positive review.

Is red wine really good for you? A Cardiologist explains - Fox 2 News Headlines

Is red wine really good for you? A Cardiologist explains - Fox 2 News Headlines

By Dr. Joel Kahn

Many people, myself included, count wine as one of the joys in life.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Cannonau … the list goes on and many seem like dear friends.
We all know that there's a line between enjoying some wine and suffering the terrible consequences of alcoholism, but where do you draw that line?
Do you have a second, third or fourth glass? Do you drink regularly?
As I have to counsel patients on these questions, and deal with my own oenophilia, I turned to science for some answers.
To understand the connection between wine consumption and health, it helps to have an appreciation of the U-shaped curve in medicine.
Many aspects of our health can be described by a U-shaped curve, which is the idea that too much or too little of a behavior can be unhealthy, and the sweet spot (at the base of the U), is where you tend to have optimal results. This is true for blood sugar, blood pressure, how much you exercise, and how much you drink.

What you need to know about wine and health:

1. A drink in most research studies is 14 grams of ethanol or 0.6 fluid ounces of pure alcohol. This equates to a 12-ounce beer, a 5-ounce glass of table wine, or 1.5 ounces of hard liquor. If you remember that the typical Dixie cup is 3 ounces, that can help you judge the volume in a pour.

2. "Light to moderate" drinking (defined as 1 drink a day for women, 2 drinks a day for men) is associated with lower rates of overall mortality, heart deaths, diabetes mellitus, heart failure, and strokes and these benefits are easier to demonstrate in people over 50 years of age.

3. Women generally have lower levels of alcohol dehydrogenase, an enzyme in the liver that metabolizes alcohol, and therefore are advised to drink smaller amounts.

4. In an analysis of studies combining data on over 1 million people and overall death rates, the U shaped curve was "sweetest" at "1 to 2 drinks per day for women and 2 to 4 drinks per day for men." Why? There are many beneficial effects of alcohol, including enhancing insulin action, raising HDL cholesterol, reducing inflammation, and improving arterial function. Red wine is particular is rich in polyphenols, with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiplatelet actions.

5. In a separate analysis of drinking(and specifically heart deaths) in 250,000 US adults, researchers found that up to 7 drinks per week for women and 14 drinks per week for men was associated with over a 30% drop in mortality.

6. In an analysis of the health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet in almost 25,000 Greeks, moderate alcohol consumption (1 to 3 drinks a day for men and 1 to 2 for women) was the strongest factor in preventing death, with eating little meat and eating more vegetables numbers 2 and 3!

There is no doubt that the U-shaped curve of drinking for health is also a slippery slope that can lead to abuse. The American Heart Association advises people not to start a drinking habit for health gains. Nonetheless, for those that enjoy an alcoholic drink, a daily 5-ounce glass or red wine (or two) has scientific support.
Is drinking for everyone? Clearly not and you should listen to your body. If alcohol doesn't agree with you for any reason, skip it and work on other health prevention measures like diet, exercise and stress management.
Pinot noir is generally credited with having the highest concentration of resveratrol, while cannonau from Sardinia gets a nod for the exceptional longevity on that island.
Long ago, Benjamin Franklin said that "wine makes daily living easier, less hurried, with fewer tensions and more tolerance." If you will stick to the "sweet spot" and recognize that the dose makes the poison, it may make life longer too.

**Mandisa: "Born For This (ESTHER)" - Official Lyric Video

We so often say as Christians we want to walk on the water with Jesus but then don't want to do what He asks when the time comes. It costs. And not everyone is going to like it or us. But we are born for this!
I love the lyrics of this song. Here's just some of the words:

"There's a time to hold your tongue
Time to keep your head down
There's a time but it's not now
Sometimes you gotta go , uninvited
Sometimes you gotta speak when you don't have the floor
Sometimes you gotta move,
when everybody else says you should stay.

No way, No, Not Today!"

Open Up The Heavens - Meredith Andrews - Lyric Video

*Trust God's Heart

If you can't detect God's hand in your circumstances, then trust His heart... Gam zu l'tovah (גַּם זוּ לְטוֹבָה): “This too is for the good.” Whenever I am confused about life (which is often), I try to remember what God said to Moses after the tragic sin of the Golden Calf: "I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my Name, 'The LORD' (יהוה). And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy" (Exod. 33:19). God’s character does not change: the LORD is the same “yesterday, today, and forever.” The meaning of the Name, however, cannot be known apart from understanding the heart’s need...

A week is called shavu’a (שָׁבוּעַ) in Hebrew,

A week is called shavu’a (שָׁבוּעַ) in Hebrew, from a root word sheva (שֶׁבַע) that means seven. Seven is the number of holiness and completion, and the first verse of Torah has seven words (בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלהִים אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ). In six days God created the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and set it apart as sacred (Gen. 2:3). The holiday of Shavuot (שָׁבוּעוֹת), or "weeks," marks the "Jubilee of Passover," which occurs after we count 7x7 (49) days from the day following Passover until we reach Sivan 6 (which this year begins Tuesday June 3rd at sundown). Since Shavuot occurs on the 50th day after Passover, the Greek translators of the Torah called it "Pentecost" (πεντηκοστή). Shavuot marks the goal or climax of Passover season, commemorating both the anniversary of the giving of the Torah at Sinai as well as the giving of the Holy Spirit to the followers of Messiah (Acts 1:8; 2:1-4).

Distress and development go hand in hand

"Distress and development go hand in hand. Sometimes we get so hung up on our distress that we don’t allow God to develop us."
From WHY WOUNDED & BETRAYED BELIEVERS ARE SO USEFUL TO GOD

Living in the land between

Living in the land between

Sometimes we find ourselves in a season of waiting on God without fully understanding the reasons. Author and pastor Jeff Manion says God has a specific purpose in every season of waiting. He helps us explore the characteristics of The Land Between by exploring Jesus’ last night with His disciples. Listen as we talk about approaching a difficult season and the growth and intimacy with God that can result.

The Song That Prophesies What the Next Season Looks Like

The Song That Prophesies What the Next Season Looks Like

Bethel Music

The songs of one season often prophesy the realities for the next.
Consider this for just a moment. Over the past few years, songwriters have been receiving fresh, powerful downloads from heaven.
There are a handful of worship anthems from this season that have an unusual grace on them. Examples include Hillsong United’s “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” and, most notably and recently, “You Make Me Brave,” from Bethel Music’s forthcoming album of the same name.
I have no doubt that Amanda Cook’s powerful and prophetic declaration of worship was birthed in the throne room.
You can watch the official YouTube video of “You Make Me Brave” right here.
What Is a Song Birthed in the Throne Room?
So, what is significant about a song birthed in the throne room? It is a prophetic blueprint for a reality that the Holy Spirit wants to release to and through the church. There is true power released into the earth when the words of heaven rest upon the lips of the children of God. This is not positive confession ideology. Rather, it is living in a place of deep intimacy and connectedness with the Holy Spirit, where we hear what He is saying and align our words to mirror His.
It is one thing to write songs about God; it is another thing for a songwriter to have his or her ear so tuned in to the heartbeat of God that this individual actually starts to hear the sounds, decrees and statements of heaven.
Jesus said that His words were “spirit and life” (John 6:63). This reinforces the fact that something truly supernatural is released when our words align with what God is saying. Songs can be a powerful way of placing the statements of God on the lips of mankind.
I sense that “You Make Me Brave” is a statement heaven so desperately wants to grace the earth with for such a time.
It’s Time for a Courageous Church to Arise!
The time has come for the body of Christ to be brave. Bravery does not ignore circumstances or pretend away fear; instead, bravery stares fear down and still presses onward toward the impossible. This is because kingdom bravery is sustained by a fixed gaze upon a Person, the champion of heaven, who is the song’s central emphasis.
“You Make Me Brave” fuels a courageous church, as it contains line after line of God-centric worship. It begins by focusing on the greatness of God and the humility we experience in His awesome presence.
The sweeping lyrics continue on to declare God’s goodness toward us, His beloved: “You are for us/You are not against us.”
Finally, the song culminates in a bridge that arms worshippers with a powerful declaration about God, their identity and their prophetic destiny to see impossibilities bend low before Jesus: "You make me brave/You make me brave/You call me out beyond the shore into the waves."
It is certainly beyond coincidental that some of the most powerful songs of this season focus on believers rising up and stepping into the waves or walking upon the waters.
What does this all mean to me?
A Powerful Revelation Is Being Released Through Worship
Interestingly enough, worship songs are becoming a key place where the body of Christ unites rather than divides. Retailers that might not carry books about the supernatural, signs and wonders, miracles, the gifts of the Holy Spirit and other such matters, do sell worship albums that were birthed in environments and cultures that are grounded in such values.
I believe the Holy Spirit is seizing the ever-expanding avenue of worship to ignite fresh fires in the hearts of believers across the denominational spectrum. Through worship, the Spirit is ushering us all into the manifest presence of God and giving the church prophetic instruction on the new normal that is beginning to adjust the expression of modern Christianity.
What believers experience in the raw presence of the Holy Spirit in the midst of worship is ruining them for any form of mediocre or complacent Christianity. Hunger is stirring in their hearts for more. They might not be able to clarify exactly what is awakening within them, but they are starting to say a resounding yes to this summons to walk boldly beyond the shores of “normal Christianity” and step out into ocean of impossibility.
It does not matter what position a denomination or church took on the Holy Spirit’s power, gifts or presence; Jesus becomes our model for what is normal and available.
It does not matter what some book, teaching or conference says about whether or not believers today can walk in the Spirit’s power; the Bible becomes our final blueprint for what is accessible for all kingdom citizens.
It does not matter what measure of hopelessness, impossibility, circumstance and darkness seems to be encroaching upon the earth; our eyes are fixed on the champion of heaven who made a way for all to enter in and experience His eternal salvation, unconditional love and powerful presence.
I still plan to write a formal review upon the formal release of this worship recording. However, I had the privilege of previewing most of the songs while watching the worship live on iBethel.tv and wanted to prepare you for something extremely significant.
The album is currently available for preorder on Amazon.

HUMILITY'S CHOICE

FATHER'S EYE ON FACEBOOK

"The Father Says Today:

The Father says today make humility your choice. Make humility your choice by saying in your heart “Go low and worship…” When you go low and worship you will ascend into the high and lofty place where only the humble and the contrite ones can enter. Humility is the key and humility is your secret weapon. I am not asking you to deprecate yourself or to think less of yourself than I do. You are in fact fearfully and wonderfully made. Humility has nothing to do with how you see yourself in My sight. Humility has to do with refusing to define yourself with respect to the opinions or thoughts of others.
When I walked the earth the Pharisees complained, “we piped and you did not dance – we mourned and you did not lament…” Be aware says the Father that when humility is your choice you will find yourself OUT OF STEP with those who wear badges of illegitimate authority and those who carelessly throw around words like “alignment” and “covering” and “authority.” I have called you and I have anointed you. I will bring you under My covering and My authority and My anointing that breaks every false yoke. So go low and worship. Refuse to answer your critics. Let your tongue cleave to the roof of your mouth. Yes they may throw you in the lion’s den of shattered reputation and religious ignominy, but from thence I will draw you to Myself and make My heart known to you and give you opportunity to serve and to love outside the framework of men’s small minded thinking.

Book Review: A Draw of Kings

A Draw of Kings.

A Kingdom at war.  There is war within the Kingdom and war being threatened by 2 other enemies outside its borders.  Its a story of the throne being seized by force.  A classic action packed story of good vs. evil.

I have to admit I found the beginning of the book kind of hard to get into because of all the charachters and not understanding some of the systems at work in their culture. Like Readers, Lots, healers, omne's, nuntius; all of those took a bit of time to sort out in the beginning. I kept feeling like I was missing something, in fact quite a lot of things. I began to suspect that this is not the first book of a series. It would have probably been more helpful to have begun with Book #1 but since this is the first book I have read, I will do the best I can to give it a fair shake in this review.

I liked the people in the story; well the "good guys & gals" that is. I felt even the "bad guys" were well defined as well. Just had to hate Antil but he just might have a few good qualities left in him. But Duke Weir's daughter not so much.
Sevra was a pure evil woman who showed no redeeming qualities at all. And she hated Adora and her family with a passion; an evil one.
The strategies and constant battles going on in several plots at the same time were well written but after a while it just got too violent for me and I got tired of so much war and death. One thing that kept me going was the prophecy and how it would work out. Of course the mystery of who was King and if Adora and Errol were a doomed couple or not, kept me pressing forward.  The last chapter felt rushed and a bit confusing.  But all in all a well written book especially when it came to detailed descriptions.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book FREE from the publisher through the Bethany House Publishers book review program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are wholly and completely my own. *REST IS A WEAPON

REST IS A WEAPON

This inspiring piece was sent to us by Christine Casten, the Director of Intercession for The Warrior Class. For more information on the Warrior Class, please check out their site here.

A friend of mine was trying to hear from the Lord. She tried hard. She kept pressing in and pressing in. She did this for hours. By the time she contacted me she was in tears. “I just can’t hear ANYthing and I’ve been trying so hard!”

This was not the time to remind her that God might be speaking in a different way than she was expecting or to lecture her on how God is consistent in how He pours
out His heart. He is always speaking. She knows all that. And most of the time, she has learned how to discern His voice from the noise of the world. But, my friend had made a very common mistake. The mistake was in allowing frustration to drive her into striving and performance.

She does hear from the Lord. He directs her path, just as He directs each of us. But sometimes we step into a place of thinking, “If I do this or say this, then God will…”.
Unfortunately, this is a subtle form of manipulation. And God is not ticking off the boxes of performance so that we can finally “get” or “achieve” His blessing. In fact, He already desires to pour out His abundance on us. It is freely offered and given.

In our goal-oriented mindsets, we often forget His promises are “yes and amen.” But, still we try. We bang up against that wall. Our crazy thinking says, “if I continue
to bang my head against that wall, it will finally come down.” But by the end of the day, banging our head against the wall just gives us a bunch of bruises on our spiritual forehead.

Just like Elijah showed us, God’s voice is not in the storm, but in stillness. Psalm 46:10a says, “Be still and know that I am God.” This is about finding that place
where our hearts and spirits are aligned and attuned to Him. It is the place where our eyes are so focused on His majesty and glory all else fades away. All that is left in that moment is the interaction between the Creator and His Beloved.

This is the place of rest that I've discovered through Graham's teaching. Rest is a weapon. When we are in rest, we are open. The striving is gone. The pressure is off. The walls created
through striving and pressure are removed and we hear His voice, if not initially, then always eventually.

In talking with my friend, she had tried worship, prayer and reading her Bible and none of them were working. She had stepped into a cycle of frustration that
escalated into a barrier. The pressure she put on herself created too much noise to hear His voice.

What was my advice? She had permission to rest; to take a break. Go about her day, get the tasks done that she put aside for this time. Enjoy her family.  The next day I got a note from her that
she was back to herself and she was hearing the Lord’s direction clearly.

One of our delights in
The Warrior Class is actively taking the opportunities to hear what God is saying. We listen as part of our training, personal growth, prophetic "intel" (intercession) assignments, and in our daily lives. But on those days when spiritual writers block is in play, it is ok to remember our permissions. We have permission to step back, refresh and take a breath. Stepping back into stillness, into our secret place for a few hours or even a few days will allow us to realign and hear His voice.
