*FOCUS-where is it?

"A lot of your problems will not overwhelm you

if you just focus on being alive to God today."

From THE RECOVERY OF WHOLENESS

All Heaven Attracted to Jesus in You

"All of Heaven is attracted to the Jesus in you. And the Jesus in you can receive under pressure. You can become the man or the woman that God has wanted you to be, that He intends you to be. You are more beautiful than you know. You are more powerful than you realize, and you can do all things in Christ because He will so strengthen you with Himself."

*Learn How to Be

"The role of the Holy Spirit is to keep the Word alive and to teach you to be incarnational. That means you are a living embodiment of the Truth. Whatever truth He shows you, you are meant to become it. That is why you have to allow time in your schedule to become. Don’t get so busy doing that you forget to learn how to be."
From THE INDWELLING PRESENCE

*NOT JUST A VISIT W/GOD-

"God is in you; He is not leaving. We must start to trade on that because we live like God is not there, or like we have to persuade Him to show up. What's that about? You can't have a habitation encounter with God at salvation and then downgrade it to a visitation culture in your experience. Guys, that is not us! It is not who we are!"

One of the comments on Facebook said this:
I like the idea of elevating ones self above the problem. Anger, hate, worry and etc. are low on the tone scale - not much dynamism there. Joy, laughter and enthusiasm are in the upper atmosphere where there is greater flexibility and possibilities.

BOOK REVIEW: MIRACLE OF HOPE

A story of an arranged marriage in an Amish setting.  An arranged marriage but so much more.  Lindie Wyne, and Josiah Plank each carry their own separate pain and secrets as does his 8 year old deaf daughter, Hannah.  It begins with the promise of a father for Lindie's unborn baby and a mother for Hannah.  Fireworks to follow..

What a charming, at times intense, interesting story.  I really, really liked all the main characters in this book.  There were layers of secrets for all of them; that kept me interested and involved in the stories throughout.  The emotions were so well written that you often felt what the characters were experiencing.  Not the usual run of the mill Amish story either; it had twists and turns and surprises.
The author wasn't afraid to make God noticeable in this book, so skillfully done.  She made it such an essential, every day  part of their life without the preachy flavor as some sometimes do.

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255

the daughters of Zelophehad

Numbers 27:1-8

King James Version (KJV)
27 Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.
Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
And Moses brought their cause before the Lord.
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.

I THINK YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL

My Beautiful Bride,

You are so beautiful to Me. I wish for one moment that you could see what I see, when I look at you. When I gaze at you I see a treasure ready to be discovered, a princess ready to shine, and a bride ready to be loved. When I look at you... I love what I see!

If you could grasp how beautiful you are in My eyes, then you would never feel insecure again. The beauty I created you to be is a reflection of Me, My love. I created you in My image, so never doubt again that your eternal beauty is a breath of heaven!

*P- JOY DEFINED

"Joy is about elation.
It's about having a sense of wonder.
It's taking absolute pleasure
in someone or something.
It's being jubilant.
 It's being cheerful, triumphant, celebratory.

So when we are practicing joy,
we are learning the art of celebration.
 What are we celebrating?
God is for me. God is with me.
He is for me, He is on my side. He is in me.
He surrounds me.
Everything about Him is for me,
and He will help me.
I am rejoicing in the fact
that I know what God is like."

Stifff Neck Tip

SEEN ON FACEBOOK

Here's a trick to relax a stiff neck:
This comes from Prevention Magazine...

A stiff neck is usually due to poor circulation and slowed lymph flow to muscle tissues. To combat it, use "contrast hydrotherapy" - meaning a quick blast of hot, then cold water. That'll get the blood pumping again.
So in the shower, first run hot water over your neck for 20 seconds to increase blood flow, then switch to cold for 10 seconds to constrict blood flow. Alternate three times, always ending with cold.
When you get out of the shower, your body will send the blood back out to the skin, which results in a final dilation of blood vessels and a looser neck.
Or try hot and icy compresses, if you don't have time for a shower.

Expert: Naturopathic medical expert, Laurie Steelsmith

Be sure to check out the comments on the facebook post.
Here is one of them:

  • This is awesome hydrotherapy I've taught my clients for 23 yrs now. It works!! Half the amount of time on the cold. It's all about getting the blood with oxygen and nutrients into the muscles. Happy muscles happy nerves. Increases Range of Motion. Like adding water to a dried out sponge.

Last days Christians
YOU HAVE IT, SO SAY IT!
MATTHEW 25:29 - ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
Have you come across people who have little, yet even that little is taken away from them? On the other hand, there are those who already have much, yet they receive even more.
Jesus said, “To everyone who has, more will be given. From him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.” Notice that Jesus doesn’t go on to say what it is we have. He simply says, “But to everyone who has.”
Jesus is talking about a firm belief in God’s Word that gives one the courage to say, “I have it!” If you say that you have it, you have it, and more will be given to you. But if you say that you don’t have it, when you actually do because God has freely given us all things (Romans8:32), then even what you have will be taken away—not by God but by the devil! The devil does not want you to walk in God’s blessings. So when you say that you don’t have it, he can rob you of your blessings because he has your agreement!
When you need something, God says that you are to ask of Him. And when you ask, believe that you receive it. (Mark 11:24) Say you already have it even if you don’t see it in the physical realm yet, and one day, you will see it!
God is not saying, “Oh come on, pretend that you see it. And if you pretend long enough, you will have it.” This is not a game! God is telling us to call forth those things which don’t exist as though they do. (Romans 4:17)
Today, we are talking about the haves and have-nots in the church. If you believe that it is yours, you will have it. You will see yourself possessing it and enjoying it, and more will be given to you. But if you say, “Well, I don’t feel it and I’m not sure if it will come,” in essence, you are saying that you don’t have it when you actually do. Then, even what you have will be taken away. So say you have it today!     Last days Christians on Facebook

At the first sign of an enemy attack, go to the Lord and listen to what He tells you to do. He’ll guide you. No matter how dark it gets, He promises that “the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold…” (Isaiah 30:26).

P-WOMAN WITH JESUS

IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

Christ Maketh Thee Whole! by Brenda Kunneman

“Know that wholeness is yours this day, says the Lord. For yes, Christ maketh thee whole, so it’s time to believe it, respond to it and know that it’s yours!”

Prophetic Scripture:
And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately (Acts 9:34).

In Acts 9:32-35, the Bible tells a story of a man named Aeneas who had the palsy for eight years. Peter commands the man to get up from his bed of sickness for which he receives an instant miracle. The miracle got so much attention that it caused two cities to experience revival. Acts 9:35 says, “And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.” The only ingredient we find that led to the miracle was Peter’s command of “Christ maketh thee whole” coupled with his command for Aeneas to get up and make his bed. The man must have believed it, because he obeyed the command and got up, even while he looked bound to the bed! His one act to believe he was whole caused him to get up and it resulted in an outbreak of revival!

Jesus Christ is making you whole today in whatever area needs it—physically, emotionally, or spiritually. What could potentially happen if you believe in the wholeness Jesus is giving you and decide to “get up”? Loved ones, co-workers, or even a town of people may come to the Lord when they see your miracle. Like Aeneas, it may look impossible for you to get up today. But like Aeneas, it’s also time to believe Jesus Christ maketh thee whole and respond in agreement with that wonderful command!

Prayer:
Father, I thank You that Jesus Christ makes me whole today. I choose to get up from my places of sickness and brokenness and I walk in wholeness. Lord, use the miracle of my wholeness to reach people with the miracle of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Book Review: A Match Made in Texas, : A Novella Collection

Match Made in Texas, A: A Novella Collection

The starting point of all of these stories is the town of Dry Gulch, Texas. There is a mystery person busy helping people get together,; giving them a chance at love.  She seems to know the needs to match up women in dire straits with men of good character.   She really seems to have a good heart and wants to help all those that she anonymously interferes with.  There will be acknowledgment of God in these stories, but not heavy handed in its use.
I took a chance when it came to selecting a book that was labeled a Novella.  I haven't always had great luck with some of those that I have read.  There have been a few exceptions and this one I am happy to say is one of them.  Each one of the stories were just a bit different than the usual that you might expect but I like that.  All of the stories could be stand alone stories but I like the way that they are all woven together and you find out at the end who the mystery matchmaker is!
 A Cowboy Unmatched- Karen Witemeyer
This is Neill and Clara's story.
After reading this one I thought that it was a sweet charming story with just the right degree of danger and challenge.  I really enjoyed it.  I have read a few of Karen's stories before and liked them as well.  Probably one of the reason's I chose this book is that I knew some of her work. I seem to remember reading other books about the Archer family and
really liked some of them.

An Unforeseen Match Regina Jennings
Clayton and Grace.
Clayton thinks he's looking to be part of the land rush because he wants his own land but a surprise newspaper ad leads him to Grace, who in her own way is trying to make her own way in uncharted waters.
I'm not sure I've read anything by this author before but I liked her writing.

No Match for Love by Carol Cox
Andrew and Lucy
Andrew needs someone to be a companion to his beloved aunt at her ranch . A ranch were some strange things have been happening. Lucy wants to get out of town so that she isn't a charity case, dependent on others.  She also has a very determined suitor who she wants no part of.  Our mystery woman helps them find each other and waits to see where this will go.  Although I liked this story as well, I found it a little too shallow when it came to Andrew and Lucy story.  The background stories going on were well done and detailed; it just seemed a little thinner on the romance part of the story.

Meeting Her Match by Mary Connealy
We finally find out  who our matchmaking mystery woman is but I don't want to spoil it so I'm not going to say who..  I will say that she will  find her in the midst of finding her own romance but you also get to see a lot of the grief that this tenderhearted woman has gone through in her life.   It seems like "others" get to be the matchmaker this time, only for her and her soon to be discovered love.
This was really well written and I liked this one very much.  It tied everything together and was such a joy to read.

I received this book FREE from Bethany House Publishers, A Division of Baker Publishing Group, in exchange for an honest reveiw.

BOOK REVIEW: All Heaven Will Break Loose

Joy Dawson, a prophetic woman, who has been around the things of the spirit for some time.  In this book she shares some of the wisdoms that have been developed over those years.  A heritage that she passes on to us that will yield to the spirit of God.  There are some experiences that she shares with us, but everything is steeped in the word of God as well.  This is not a book of experiences alone; its a serious study of true unity with the Spirit and with men and women through the spirit through the study of the word of God. Time to dive into what has been offered.

One gem that she shares: oneness is not sameness. in fact, diversity grounded in unity can be an asset...

Also that God has a way of using spiritual leaders to bring unity.  He is never in a mold, Holy Spirit's moving is not predictable.  He is unique and so different in His ways.

I liked the explanation of the working together of the 5 ministry gifts; that they HAVE to work together. It cannot just be one or even two.  My favorite is the comparison of the Apostles being the concrete, Prophets- steel, All the foundation which is essential.  From there was the Evangelist as the doors, the Teacher as the framework and the the dividing walls and the Pastor as the roof and windows that represent the shepherd/covering. Too often I see just the Pastor or the pastor/teacher trying to do everything and its no wonder, we never really seem to get anywhere (if we are honest). It seems like we move forward to a degree and then go no further.    Unity and Teamwork is something that Joy speaks of often in many different ways.  True Unity, True Teamwork; not just the words of it but in demonstration!  Forgiveness is also a very necessary part of that teamwork and unity which is also something very important that Joy speaks about in one of the chapters of this book.

I received a FREE copy of this book from Chosen Publishers as part of their book review program, and I am under no obligation to write a positive review.
