BOOK REVIEW- A COWBOY WORTH CLAIMING by Charlene Sands

A Cowboy Worth Claiming (The Worths of Red Ridge) by [Sands, Charlene]
Cowboy Chance Worth gets more than he bargains for when he saves damsel in distress Lizzie Mitchell. He has come to Red Ridge, Arizona, to rescue her family's failing ranch and find Lizzie a suitable husband. Too bad it wouldn't be honorable to keep the little spitfire for himself!

Lizzie may be innocent, but she's not naive. Fully determined to find her own way in life, she doesn't welcome Chance's intrusion. But when he plans to leave she realizes she may not be ready to see the back of him just yet!  AMAZON 4 STARS

This book had good main characters and interesting struggles that they each were going through.  Lizzie's grandfather was critically ill and most of the ranching responsibility was falling to Lizzie.
Chance and her grandfather, Edward have a history.  So when Chance gets a message from him for help, he comes as quick as he can. Lizzie isn't having any of his help since he's bossy and she doesn't think she needs his help.  Yes, you can see where the fireworks are going to go off right?
It was often an emotional story with several twists along the way.  There is some unexpected action with the final twists saved for the end of the story.
Yes, there will be a H.E.A.  so hang on.

BOOK REVIEW- IN HER SIGHTS by Robin Perini

In Her Sights (A Montgomery Justice Novel Book 1) by [Perini, Robin]

Jasmine “Jazz” Parker, Jefferson County SWAT's only female sniper, can thread the eye of a needle with a bullet. But she carries a secret from her past that she thought she buried for good at the age of fifteen. Two years ago she even drove away the one man she believed she could love—ex-Army Ranger turned reporter Luke Montgomery—to keep her past hidden. Now, in a fleeting second, the time it takes for one clean shot, one perfect hit, to save the life of the governor's daughter, Jazz's world begins to crumble around her.

Luke splashes her face and name across the front page of the newspaper, reawakening her past with a vengeance. A vicious enemy is now bent on destroying her life, forcing Jazz to turn to the one man she can never have in order to stop a killer before she and everyone she cares about pays the ultimate price. Full of explosive action and almost unbearable suspense, In Her Sights is a relentless, steamy thriller surprisingly infused with soul and poignancy.    AMAZON 5 STARS

What an intense, amazing book.   Jazz has enemies, boy does she have enemies!!  They don't just hate her, they have fiery, consuming hatred for her!  And they all have different motives.  At first it just seems like one is conspiring against her but the hits just keep coming and the enemies just keep coming out of the woodwork.

Jazz and Luke both really make for compelling main characters.  They also have a "romance" that is unique to them.  Jazz is flat out afraid to trust anyone; something she learned early in her childhood.  Luke on the other hand has a loving family, who has his back.  But that is not to say that he hasn't faced any challenges.  To be honest, his feeling for Jazz was one of those challenges.  And the story also doesn't go without having some really good secondary people in the story as well.

You want a book with action?  Well, this one had PLENTY.  It often kept me at the edge of my seat.  Since I read a lot of books, that is not as easy as that sounds.  This author is now on my radar and I will be looking for more of her books to read.

BOOK REVIEW- A POCKETFUL OF HOPE FOR MOTHERS by Robin Jones Gunn

You love the sweetness in his little smile and the way she wiggles her tiny toes in delight. You love the beautiful chaos that your life has become. And then come the challenges of motherhood. The exhaustion. The frustration. In A Pocketful of Hope for Mothers, Robin Jones Gunn reminds us that as moms, the only thing we need to do each day is to live with a selfless spirit, a tender heart, and all the gusto our giddy souls can muster. She reminds us that no matter how fragmented our lives may feel right now, all that matters is that we love well. God is near, giving us encouragement and hope as we care for the little soul that has been entrusted to us. This collection of heartwarming vignettes, inspiring quotes, and simple prayers makes a perfect gift of inspiration for all mothers and moms-to-be.   AMAZON 5 STARS

What a lovely book.  Both the words in it and the beautiful illustrations. I was stunned at how beautiful those illustrations were.  It has bite size encouragements for the limited time of busy mothers.  It also has a very personal introduction by the author to explain where the title of this book came from.  What a sweet memory she shared.  There are many tender moments throughout the book along with short but beautifully written short scriptures.  There is also a mixture of  Bible versions among those choices.
This would make a great gift for mothers and I already have at least one person that I plan to give this to as a gift.

I received a copy of this book via  Tyndale House Publishers and this is my own honest opinion of it.

A confession of Determination- KCM

If you’re ready to develop the kind of bulldog faith that bites down on the Word of God and won’t let go—you need determination! There is power in speaking the Word of God aloud over your life and confessing that you are determined in your pursuit of THE BLESSING of God.

When you speak a confession of determination, you develop your faith, protect your spirit, and resist the devil’s attempts to rob you of your abundant life.

The following is a psalm or confession of determination, written by Pastor George Pearsons years ago, when God called him to a higher level in his faith—bulldog faith. He has seen a powerful move of God as a result, and so can you!
Say this today:

I have made up my mind.
I have made my decision.
I have set my faith.
I am fully persuaded that I am going to make it.
Nothing is going to stop me.
Nothing is going to hold me back.
Nothing is going to keep me down.
Nothing is going to stand in my way of the fullness of THE BLESSING.
For I am determined. You can’t talk me out of it. You can’t discourage me from it.
You can’t deter me from all that is mine in Christ.
For I am determined, undaunted, unbending, unflagging, unflinching.
No matter what happens, I am going to make it.
According to the Word of God, I am going to make it.
For in Him, I am determined.

When you speak this confession of determination, aggressive faith will rise up in your spirit. As you determine to be strong in faith, persistent and unwilling to quit—you will be victorious. Expect to see a change in your life. There is power in your words—now tap into it!  Kenneth Copeland Ministries

BOOK REVIEW- WRONG NUMBER RIGHT GUY by Elle Casey

Wrong Number, Right Guy (The Bourbon Street Boys Book 1) by [Casey, Elle]
When a mysterious text message summons May Wexler to a biker bar in downtown New Orleans, she knows something is very wrong. Her sister has sent out an SOS, but when May gets there, she’s nowhere to be found and May is the one in trouble—she’s wearing pink espadrilles, she’s got a Chihuahua in her purse, and she’s in the middle of a shootout.
After tall, muscular Ozzie comes to her rescue, May has no choice but to follow him to safety. At the headquarters of his private security firm, the Bourbon Street Boys, she finds a refuge for the night—and the offer of a job. But it’s not long before a gun-toting stalker isn’t the only complication in May’s life: the more time she spends with Ozzie, the less she can deny that they’ve got some serious chemistry. A wrong number got her into this mess…Will it also get her the right guy?   AMAZON 3.5 STARS

A Comedy of Errors starts this story out.  And the auto-correct conversation was hilarious.
I liked the main characters although it mainly seemed to be about May.  That could be because it's done from her point of view.  Ozzie proved himself as the good guy, a born protector.   Sure he was there for his team and people he cared about.  While that is said, I also felt this character was underdeveloped. I never really felt the connection with him or connection between May and Ozzie.   Sure, there was sizzle but it just felt odd at times.
There were interesting supporting people, like May's sister and the other team members.
May was one dramatic lady, and she wasn't kidding that when her imagination ran wild it was a bad thing.   It did make for some funny inner dialogue though.
The book does start out with some dramatic action, then it kind of cools down and slows down.  Action does start up again towards the end when May does something stupid.  But in between it's all about the team and May an Ozzie getting to kind of know each other.

BOOK REVIEW- DEBTS: A SHORT STORY by Amanda Pillar

Debts: A Short Story by [Pillar, Amanda]
Vampires and humans don’t mix.

But six-year-old Sebastian doesn’t care.

He and his childhood best friend, Kali, are inseparable. He’s finally found the one person who accepts him for who he is. But Sebastian has a secret, one that his mother is willing to kill for.

Can Sebastian keep Kali safe?

Or will he be caught in the crossfire of his mother’s ambition?  AMAZON

Definitely a startling beginning to this book.  It did drawn you in really quick and that is saying something for it being a short story.
I did have mixed feeling about it though because...#1 I do wish it had been longer.  #2 it doesn't feel like it had a total ending because one problem got answered but one didn't give the outcome of it. #3 It felt like a cliffhanger on that one major question. #4  It did however make me wish for more so maybe that is not so bad.   Like I said kind of a mixed bag for me.  So I guess it is I liked it but with some reservations.

I was given a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion of it.

BOOK REVIEW- NEED TO KNOW by Fern Michaels

Need to Know (Sisterhood Book 28) by [Michaels, Fern]
The Sisterhood: a group of women from all walks of life bound by friendship and a quest for justice. Armed with vast resources, top-notch expertise, and a loyal network of allies around the globe, the Sisterhood will not rest until every wrong is made right.

Through all their missions and adventures, the tightknit group of friends who make up the Sisterhood have learned one vital lesson: everybody has a weak spot. In the case of Yoko Wong’s dear friend Garland Lee, the multimillion-selling performer known as America’s beloved songbird, that weak spot was trusting her lawyer, Arthur Forrester. For years, he’s taken advantage of her faith in him to amass a secret fortune. And now, in the deepest betrayal yet, he’s dragged her into a lawsuit that could cost her everything.

The Sisterhood know they can’t let that happen. Forrester has some of the country’s top judges in his pocket, and a list of influential and ruthless friends—not to mention knowledge of all the ways the law can be corrupted to work in his favor. But he doesn’t have the Vigilantes’ deep-seated loyalty and determination. And all his years of underhanded dealings won’t prepare him for the type of creative payback that the Sisters have made their specialty . . .  AMAZON 4 STARS

It was good to once again read about this gang of women and those who were in cahoots with them.
Of course we know who the bad guy is from the start but it was interesting to see how slippery he could be.  I would expect nothing less.  And he seemed to make some other people miserable not just Garland Lee.

Two of the main ladies did have a tiff with Mr. Snowden, who was one of their main contacts when a job needed a bit of help.  And that did add to the drama.
This story was a quick read with justice being served and everyone happy with the results.  Well, everyone except  Arthur Forrester.
One thing that I realized that I missed in this story is although it did include a epilogue, it didn't tell us where Arthur ended up.  I find that I miss that because it was usually a pretty good punishment.  Yes, part of the punishment was recouping all he had stole but usually there was a glimpse of how unenviable his future life was going to be.  Some of the other landing places were pretty original.  I don't know maybe the author got tired of dreaming up more revenge life settings.
I do know that I have read several were not disclosed and like I said I miss those.

BOOK REVIEW- MAGGIE'S BEAU by Carolyn Davidson

Maggie's Beau by [Davidson, Carolyn]
On the run from a nightmarish life, Maggie had the power to stir feelings of forever in rancher Beau Jackson's soul. From the first moment, he knew he loved this sweet-spirited gamin, but would she ever feel anything more for him than gratitude?

She must have died and gone to heaven, Maggie O'Neill swore, for Beau Jackson treated her with all the kindness and respect only a genuine lady deserved. But how was she to know if what she felt for him was love?   AMAZON  4 stars

I liked this book and it's main characters.  I got pulled in pretty quickly to the emotions that Maggie felt.  It wasn't just told, I believe it was shown pretty clearly..  She was such a hard worker who had never experienced much approval in her life.  She pretty much said she was almost born with a pitchfork in her hand and was always working hard with it.  Her father was beyond brutal, as well as selfish and stingy.  Her mother loved her but she couldn't help much because she was suffering abuse as well.  Later on her mother would admit that her husband worked her girls like slaves.  And it sure sounded like it too.

Beau was such a good guy and it was sweet to watch how tender he was with her at times.
He was kind to her yes, but he also was a hard worker and he was respectful of Maggie and often understood her need not to be beholding to anyone. The more he got to know her, the more he cared for her.  He was also able to help her learn some things that she had missed out on.

There were several really good secondary characters and that includes some animals as well.
There is a twist or two in the story which finally leads to a H.E.A.

Prophecy: I Will Intervene with My Word in Your Mouth By: Jennifer LeClaire

This prophetic word will encourage your heart. The Lord says:
I have a plan. Don’t you think I have a plan? Whatever it is you’re going through; whatever it is you are facing, I have a plan. I have a plan and My plans are perfect, and My plans are thorough! I don’t leave any I’s undotted or any T’s uncrossed; nothing gets by Me, nothing slips past Me. I see the end from the beginning.
I see the opposition that’s trying to destroy you. I see those minions keeping you up at night with worry and regret and pain and wonder. I see those things that stall you. I see those things that hinder you.

Prophecy: I Will Intervene with My Word in Your Mouth
I am greater than all of those things, so why don’t you just look up, why don’t you just take a look upon Me? Why don’t you just gaze upon the beauty of My Son? Why don’t you just dwell on the reality of the Holy Spirit’s presence on the inside of you? Why don’t you stop looking around and about at everything that’s going wrong and talking about it and thinking about it and telling everybody around you about it and confessing how it will never change?
Why don’t you begin to say what I say about you? Why don’t you begin to say what I’ve said to you in the past seasons? Why don’t you begin to re-prophesy that which I spoke to your heart many years ago? Why don’t you begin to prophecy it again and again? Why don’t you take Paul’s advice? Why don’t you pick up that prophetic word and swing it like a sword? Why don’t you do what Jesus did in the wilderness? Why don’t you say to the devil, “IT IS WRITTEN!”
Because My Word is alive. My Word is sharper than any two-edged sword. It is able to divide from what is bothering you in your soul and what is coming against you in the spirit. It’s able to discern your thoughts; it’s able to help you discern the enemy’s attacks; it’s able! It’s able! It’s able! It’s powerful! It’s mighty! It’s My Word! Why don’t you stand on it? Why don’t you walk in it? Why don’t you meditate upon it? Why don’t you confess it day and night, night and day? Why don’t you renew your mind with it?
I left it there for you. It’s right there for you! It’s in a book! It’s in a book! It’s in a book! I left you My Testament, I left you My Will. All you have to do is agree with it. Like I said in Amos, how can two walk together unless they’re agreed? But so many times, you come out of agreement with Me and you get into agreement with the enemy of your soul. So, break that agreement and realign yourself with My Heart, because I am here, and I am ready, and I am willing to lift you up again! I am here, and I am ready, and I am willing to dust off the enemy’s residue of resentment and the enemy’s residue of shame, and that attack, that attack, that attack that never seems to stop.
I am willing to intervene, but I will intervene with My Word in your mouth, because My Word in your mouth will not return void any more than it will return void out of My mouth. So why don’t you try putting My word in your mouth? And why don’t you stop speaking the enemy’s words out of your mouth?
I’m giving you a battle plan. I’m showing you the way through this season of trial. I’m showing you a way through this season of temptation. I’m showing you a way through this season of unbearable agony. Press through with My Word. My Word is like a hammer and it breaks things to pieces, but you must put it in your mouth. You must speak it forth. Not just one time. Not just one time. Use My word like a carpenter uses a hammer to build a house. Let My words frame your life, says God. Let My words frame your life! Let My words build your life! Let My words build your life! Let My words renovate the house that you built that you don’t like; the life that you built with your words, the life that you don’t like right now. Let My words renovate it!
Let My words rip down things that you built that were not of Me; and let My words rebuild areas that the enemy has come and attacked and attacked and attacked using the words out of your mouth that weren’t in line with what’s coming out of My Heart, says God. If you’ll get into agreement with me, if you stop thinking what the enemy wants you to think, and stop saying what the enemy wants you to say, you’ll see swift victory.   Link to this article

BOOK REVIEW- CRAZY FOR HER by Sandra Owens

Crazy for Her (A K2 Team Novel Book 1) by [Owens, Sandra]
When his best friend and fellow Navy SEAL, Evan Prescott, died in his arms on the battlefield, Logan Kincaid gave his word to watch over Evan’s widow. But for two years he kept his distance…torn between honoring his solemn vow and succumbing to his secret love for his fallen comrade’s wife. But when Dani Prescott desperately reaches out to Logan for the help only he can give, he rushes to her side—determined to fight for her safety as fiercely as he fights against his own buried desire.
Someone claiming to be her husband is stalking Dani and her infant daughter, making them virtually prisoners in their remote country home. Logan’s elite military training and high-risk security expertise have outmatched more dangerous enemies. But the real challenge will be the burning temptation that threatens to overcome Logan whenever Dani is near…especially when she reveals her own hidden passion.  AMAZON  4.5 STARS

I really enjoyed this book.  The main characters were really good and even Dani's daughter, Regan had her  moments.  Logan was such an honorable man with such a horrible childhood.   He spent part of that childhood trying to make sure his sister Maria had food to eat and was safe.   Because nothing in that childhood was safe except when another person  later stepped up, Mrs. Jankowski.

The emotions came through really well when it came to both Logan and Dani.  And I liked how the  Logan's Team pulled together.

This book had some secrets that I didn't see coming and also some twists that added to the story. I've read a few books with Seals and ex-Seals being tough and loyal but Logan was even a bit different than them.  Some of that has to do with some of those surprises I was talking about.   But there are a few other ones too.

I liked the hint of attraction between Maria and "Romeo" and I see they have their own book.  The next one in the series and it's one I'm interested in reading too.  "Someone Like Her" is the name of that book.

I liked how the book ended, although there will be some more tears along the way.  But there is also that H.E.A. that I look for.

BOOK REVIEW- THE SHEIKH'S BORROWED BABY by Holly Rayner

The Sheikh's Borrowed Baby (More Than He Bargained For Book 7) by [Rayner, Holly]
He needed a baby to close a business deal,
But Sheikh Karim is about to get way more than he bargained for…

Karim Al-Ahsan has a problem; he’s caught in a lie, having told an old-fashioned business partner that he’s a family man, with a wife and baby of his own. Now with little option other than to find and hire a mother and son to portray his family, Karim searches for the perfect candidates to prove that he’s a man of integrity…

Hallie Jameson is a single mom, working double-shifts to make ends meet. When a charismatic stranger saunters into her life, offering her an enormous check for just one evening of her and her son’s time, she’s powerless to resist. Swept away for a weekend of luxury, and a brief taste of how the other half live, this Philadelphia nurse soon realizes that she doesn’t want the fantasy to end.

As Karim falls deeper into his lie—and as Hallie falls ever deeper for her fake husband—it soon becomes clear that neither party will walk away unscathed. Can Karim figure out that this little family isn’t just a prop in his spun fiction, but a warm and precious treasure, that’ll finally make him whole?

This is a Sheikh romance novel from best-selling author Holly Rayner. It contains a guaranteed HEA, and a tale of romance that will capture your heart.   AMAZON 3 STARS

This book was a sweet, charming one.   I liked how the friendship began to develop between Karim and Hallie. Baby Aaron also began to grow on Karim quickly too.  Karim wasn't afraid to interact with him.
Both of the main characters were honorable people to entered into a dishonorable set up.  The lie didn't really sit that well with either one of them which is to their credit.  But they did follow through with it and got to know each other which leads to a  H.E.A.

Hallie's mom and Dad added to the story as well.
There was plenty of wealth available to Karim but so many times he didn't meet the preconceived idea  of a Sheikh.    Often in the story it was easy to forget he was one.  Probably because he was so well written and made him easier to relate to.

By the way I thought the cover for the eBook was really attractive.

BOOK REVIEW- ROYAL DATE (The Royals of Monterra Book 1) by Sariah Wilson

Royal Date (The Royals of Monterra Book 1) by [Wilson, Sariah]

This Cinderella didn’t plan on a prince . . .

Kat MacTaggart is a girl who has a plan for everything—including her holiday ski trip to Monterra with her best friend. Everything is going according to plan until she finds herself careening out of control down a mountainside and being rescued by a guy who looks like Superman’s hotter Italian cousin.

HRH Prince Nico is intrigued by the woman he saved on the slopes and her refusal to date him. He offers Kat a deal—let him show her his country and he’ll pay her to write articles that will help Monterra’s tourism industry. Kat agrees, but given her past and lingering distrust of men, she has one condition—absolutely no kissing.

Thanks to the claims of a jealous British noblewoman and the schemes of a meddling paparazzo, Kat’s rule doesn’t seem to be a problem at first. But the more Kat gets to know Nico and the people around him, the harder it is to remember her keep-your-distance plan. Should she stick to it or risk everything for a chance at happily ever after?  AMAZON

What a dramatic start!  The story starts out in an interesting meeting between Kat and Nico and then travels right into something dramatic pretty quickly.
I enjoyed this book and liked that Kat was one sassy, but also in her own way a tenderhearted woman.  Her smart comebacks  were part of her defense system.  She had a really tough childhood which explained why so few people got really close to her.   She was incredible loyal to anyone she cared about.  And the main person got got that loyalty was her friend, Lemon. Can you believe that name?  Lemon was someone who was so on Kat's side but she was also an interesting character because as much as she loved Kat she also knew when to push her too.
I felt like the author did a really good job of building a Cinderella like fantasy world for the reader.  But it was also without making it really cheesy either.  It was really easy to feel welcomed into Prince Nico's family as the story advanced.  His sisters, especially Serafina added to the story.  Serafina was charming and also mischievous at times.

Nico was someone who was what you would expect of an honorable royal but he was also really thoughtful towards others.  I enjoyed his interactions with Kat.  He was often amused by Kat and often understood things about her before she even did.
I also really enjoyed some of the way the author described different things that a person was feeling or saying.  Mainly coming from Kat and it often made me smile.  I'll just give an example or two.  Kat said, "My best friend made me get up at an hour that I wasn't aware existed in the am." And a favorite of mine was thought by Kat after  they were interrupted during  some intense kissing from Nico.  Nico's voice sounded even and normal.  "I was panting like a dog who'd just chased down the mailman."  Loved that one.  There were a few more but it wasn't overdone to my way of thinking.

Of course the story wasn't all sweetness and light; there were challenges but there was a good H.E.A.

By the way I really liked the dreamy cover.

BOOK REVIEW- MISTLETOE MISCHIEF by Stacey Joy Netzel

Mistletoe Mischief (Romancing Wisconsin Book 1) by [Netzel, Stacey Joy]
Christmas in July at the zoo is the last place single parents Eric Riley and Marissa Wilder expect to find love. Thanks to some mistletoe mischief in the form of their two young daughters and Santa, they discover mistletoe rules were not made to be broken.

To everything there is a season...

Love finds a way during the four seasons in the Romancing Wisconsin Series. Starting with Christmas/Winter, then moving on to the rest of the seasons, check out this bestselling, heartwarming series set in small town Wisconsin, where hope springs eternal for each happily ever after. Military heroes, runaway brides, surprise babies, single parents...meet the Rileys, the Walshes, and best of all, Butch...a.k.a. Santa Butch. The mischievous matchmaker makes a cameo in each story—adding a touch of magic to the lives of everyone he loves, and even those he's just met.    AMAZON  3 STARS

It's a short, sweet, charming story.  The two little girls make for a nice additional touch.  I have read a later book in this series and was hoping for a bit deeper story when it came to Eric and Marissa's romance.  It just seemed so quick.  Not much about the rest of the family although brother Mark Riley does show up for a quick cameo.

It did have a good Epilogue which brought a smile to my face when it came to one announcement.
Final words?  It had no major surprises to it.

How to Take Communion for Your Healing- Kenneth Copeland Ministries

Need healing in your body? Try these tips on how to take Communion for your healing.  Kenneth Copeland Ministries

If you’re facing sickness or disease in your body today, you may already be speaking healing confessions and standing on God’s Word for healing. But if you haven’t yet achieved victory in this area, you may be wondering what else you can do, aside from standing for a manifestation. One powerful tool that is often overlooked by Christians is the taking of Communion.

The Lord’s Supper is much more than just a religious tradition—it symbolizes everything Jesus did for us at Calvary. When you partake of the cup (representing the blood), you are remembering that Jesus delivered you from sin. When you eat the bread (representing His body), you are acknowledging the physical and spiritual torment Jesus endured to deliver you from temptation, addiction, worry, care, fear, poverty, lack and every part of the curse. That includes sickness and disease (Isaiah 53:5).

God created the Lord’s Supper for a reason. When you receive it, you should plan to partake of everything Jesus’ sacrifice provided—salvation, peace of mind, healing and total prosperity. Otherwise, you’re neglecting to enjoy the gifts He sacrificed to give you.

You don’t have to wait until you go to church to receive Communion. You can receive it anytime and anywhere. In fact, if you haven’t made a practice of taking Communion on a regular basis, it’s time to start! The Communion table is the healing table, the deliverance table and the confession table.  It’s the powerhouse of God.

Every time we take Communion, it drives our roots even deeper into our faith in what the covenant of God means to us, and what the body and blood of Jesus has paid for us. We use our faith to take Communion, and we do so with determined purpose.

If you need healing in your body, here are seven tips for taking Communion for your healing:

  1. Purchase a Communion set for your own personal use. There are even individual, prefilled cup and wafer sets with a long shelf life available for easy use or transport.

  1. You can take Communion alone, or with a family member or friend.

  1. You can take Communion every day. Taking Communion is appropriating the blood of Jesus over your life, thanking Him for ALL He has done. It isn’t a religious ceremony, so you don’t have to wait for a minister to serve it to you.

  1. Examine yourself before you take Communion. Before we partake, the Bible tells us to examine our hearts (1 Corinthians 11:28-29). Ask God for forgiveness in areas where you’ve missed the mark (strife, unforgiveness, jealousy, envy, hatred, covetousness, fear, worry, unbelief, etc.) Also, be sure you are not receiving Communion just as a religious exercise, rather than accepting everything Jesus’ sacrifice provided. Don’t receive it halfway; that will keep you from receiving everything provided by Jesus’ sacrifice (1 Corinthians 11:30).

  1. Partake of the bread, which symbolizes the physical and spiritual torment Jesus bore to redeem us from all areas of the curse. With this in mind, say:

Lord, it’s not right that I suffer from sickness or disease. I judge it now as being from Satan, and I reject it. I refuse to receive it any longer. I partake of the sacrifice of Your Son’s body, and I receive the abundant life that You have provided, in Jesus’ Name.

  1. Partake of the cup and make this confession:

Father, I give You thanks for all You have provided for me through the New Covenant in Christ Jesus. I partake of those promises now! I am healed. I am redeemed. I am the head and not the tail. I am above and not beneath. I take the healing You sacrificed to give me, and I thank You and praise You for it, in Jesus’ Name.

  1. Be settled on the matter. Once you have taken Communion, settle your healing in your heart according to God’s Word. Don’t just hope it is done—know it.

No matter what you may be faced with—sin, sickness, drugs, a weight problem, worry, strife, old habits or any situation in your finances—you can be delivered through properly receiving the Lord’s Supper. The body and blood of Jesus covers every area of your existence.
Place yourself before God and receive Communion as the children of Israel did—ready to receive deliverance in your body! Take the time to put yourself before God over the Communion table. It will be time well-spent.

BOOK REVIEW- ONCE UPON A PRINCE by Rachel Hauck

Once Upon a Prince (Royal Wedding Series Book 1) by [Hauck, Rachel, Hauck, Rachel]

Once Upon a Prince, the first novel in the Royal Wedding series by best-selling author Rachel Hauck, treats you to a modern-day fairy tale.
Susanna Truitt never dreamed of a great romance or being treated like a princess—just to marry the man she has loved for twelve years. But life isn’t going according to plan. When her high-school-sweetheart-turned-Marine-officer breaks up instead of proposing, Susanna scrambles to rebuild her life.
The last thing Prince Nathaniel expects to find on his American holiday to St. Simons Island is the queen of his heart. A prince has duties, and his family’s tense political situation has chosen his bride for him. When Prince Nathaniel comes to Susanna’s aid under the fabled Lover’s Oak, he is blindsided by love.
Their lives are worlds apart. He’s a royal prince. She’s an ordinary girl. But everything changes when Susanna receives an invitation to Nathaniel’s coronation.
It’s the ultimate choice: His kingdom or her heart? God’s will or their own?  AMAZON 3.5 STARS

It was a charming story, with expected upheaval with just a few unexpected ones as well.  Yes, I could honestly say that in a lot of ways it was fairly predictable.  But also had its moments of enjoyment as well.
The main characters were good one and Susanna had one hoot of a family.  I also liked how faith in God and how it was practiced was another good part of the story.  It did not however overtake the whole story.  I did enjoy those moments.
The entail part of the story got a little bit involved but it did work out in the end of course.  There were some self-serving pushy in the book which is expected because you find them in all levels of society.

The phrase that was a real stinger was, "The moment I pulled out my credit card, I knew I'd found the right ring but not the right girl."  It will bounce off the gossip mill for quite a while.  How humiliating.  You'll have to read the book to find out more about that.

The story does come to several good conclusions with a H.E.A. and NO cliffhangers.

BOOK REVIEW- SEEKING ALLAH FINDING JESUS

Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity by [Qureshi, Nabeel]
In Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, now expanded with bonus content, Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way.
Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi struggled with an inner turmoil that will challenge Christians, Muslims, and all those who are interested in the world’s greatest religions.
Engaging and thought-provoking, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity in one man’s heart?and of the peace he eventually found in Jesus.

I liked this book but it was also a bit heavy at times to me.  A lot of that had to do with all the information about the culture, Islam and words of his language that I was unfamiliar with.  Not only is it his story,it would also be a great study resource.  Now, that was something that I wasn't expecting. I didn't know that it would have that much depth. I appreciated the Glossary that was included, that helped me so much.

I felt that it had a great introduction and it was a good way to start the book.  Another thing that just practically screams from the pages is how much he loved his family and how much they loved him.  The affection that his parents expressed through out his life was so sweet to read about.  And it was just something more that tore at his heart when he went through his struggle to find the truth.  The other thing that stood out so clearly was how much Nabeel loved God, and wanted the truth about who he really was.  He was looking for truth.
There is just so much I could say about this book but it would make for a really long review.  Let me just say, it was worth reading about the journey and that it would take more than one reading to get everything out of it.  But there is enough there to gain quite a lot of insight.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and this is my honest opinion of it.

A WORD FOR THOSE 55 YEARS OLD AND OVER...by Lana Vawser

A WORD FOR THOSE 55 YEARS OLD AND OVER.... I HEARD THE LORD DECREEING FLOURISHING, THRIVING, AWAKENING, VICTORY, STRENGTH AND NEW FIRE UPON YOU!!!!
I recognise this is a long word, but I encourage you to take the time to read it. For quite a while now I have had a strong stirring in my spirit of a new and fresh move of the Spirit of God upon those 55 years old and over. The Lord showed me a strong stirring of the Spirit of God for GREATER AWAKENING AND PLACING for those 55 and over in this season.
As I have carried this word for a few months now, I felt the Lord prompt me to release it today.
When the Spirit of God began stirring in me for those 55 years old and over, I heard Him whisper to me:
“Many of My children 55 years old and over have felt forgotten, they have felt abandoned, they have felt left to the side, while others have an excitement in their spirit for what is to come and what I am doing but are awaiting My direction. There have been circumstances, people and the enemy that have spoken words and lies over My precious ones suggesting their “best days” are behind them… but I am decreeing the exact OPPOSITE. The best days for these precious ones in Me are upon them. Their best days in seeing Me move, Me awaken, Me accelerate and My hand bring a greater divine placing. Many of these precious ones are now moving into a season of such great awakening, awakening to their identity in greater ways, as many have not known their identity deeply, awakening to who I am, and awakening to their gifting's and callings in greater ways. Many have dreams left behind, dreams left on the way side, many carrying regret, but I am decreeing, My beautiful children, you are moving into a season of seeing Me move more powerfully IN and THROUGH YOU than you have ever seen before and you are going to move into a deeper place of DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!! There is a great season of REFRESHING upon you that is being released in the WONDER of who I am and the work of My hand.”
“I AM DECREEING FLOURISHING, VICTORY, STRENGTH AND THRIVING UPON YOU!!! OH THE ENCOUNTERS WITH ME THAT SHALL BE HAD”
I have been feasting on a Scripture from Psalm 92:12-14 and I will be releasing prophetic words over the next few weeks that the Lord has been giving me through this beautiful Scripture:
“Yes! Look how you’ve made all your lovers to flourish like palm trees, each one growing in victory, standing with strength! You have transplanted them into your heavenly courtyard where they are thriving before you. For in your presence they will still overflow and be anointed. Even in their old age they will stay fresh, bearing luscious fruit and abiding faithfully.” - Psalm 92:12-14 (The Passion Translation)
I heard the Lord whisper over His beautiful children 55 and over:
“I am decreeing FLOURISHING, VICTORY, STRENGTH AND THRIVING UPON YOU! OH THE ENCOUNTERS WITH ME THAT SHALL BE HAD.”
Instantly, I was taken into a vision of Jesus in the Garden again. The Lord inviting those 55 and over down a beautiful golden pathway, flowers lined every side of this beautiful pathway and as His people accepted His invitation afresh to follow Him, I saw them take the hand of Jesus and walk together. I saw the flowers SO vibrant, SO alive, like there was a decree being released from them. Joy was all around and I heard Song of Songs 2:10-13:
“Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling. Come away with Me! I have come as you have asked to draw you to my heart and lead you out. For now is the time, my beautiful one. The season has now changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth with bright blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth. Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.” - (The Passion Translation)
The atmosphere was filled with the sense of CHANGE all over these beautiful ones. Harvest of promises, harvest of prayers suddenly bursting forth. A deeper, beautiful season of awakening, no hiding, but a time of significant positioning in greater awakening of destiny. A season of radical freedom and increase.
The place of intimacy that the Lord was leading these ones into was a land that was BRANDED with the decree of the Lord. The land was branded with the fire of His love, that in this season there would be greater manifested victory, greater flourishing, fruitfulness, thriving and strength. (Isaiah 40:31)
The Lord was leading them into a land of encounters with His heart and His Word that would supersede any other season. A season of the greatest encounters with Jesus and outpouring of the Spirit of God in their lives.
I prophesy over you this is your season of flourishing. This is your season of your greatest fruitfulness, thriving, strength, vision, creativity, destiny, harvest and victory. This is your season of your greatest awakening! This is your season to TAKE YOUR PLACE in greater ways!
FRESH BREAD AND STAYING FRESH
Jesus showed me in this new land, there is such a depth of receiving FRESH BREAD AND STAYING FRESH! A deeper place of receiving the deeper revelation of the Word of God, the daily, fresh manna from heaven..
“Bread alone will not satisfy, but true life is found in every word, which constantly goes forth from God’s mouth” - Matthew 4:4 (The Passion Translation)
Jesus said to them “I am the Bread of Life. Come every day to me and you will never be hungry. Believe in me and you will never be thirsty.” - John 6:35 (The Passion Translation)
FIFTY FIVES AND OVER WILL CARRY A NEW FIRE
The Lord showed me a fresh baptism of fire coming upon those 55 and over. A fresh baptism of the fire of His presence and fire of His love, such a beautiful deeper branding of His presence and love. Things that have attempted to hold you back, will be burnt away. Things that have laid dormant, will suddenly be ignited. A great activation is upon you, and a great birthing is taking place. The Lord is positioning you for the more. The preparation, the positioning, the purification, the pruning for what is upon us right now in the body of Christ. Many of you have been through an time of intense fire, and just when you thought you were coming out, the fire got hotter. The Lord showed me that major breakthrough is upon you. There is a DOUBLE PORTION is being released TO YOU and THROUGH YOU. I saw such powerful moves of the Spirit of God through you, signs, wonders and miracles and it awakened the fire in you for MORE. It awakened passion for Jesus like never before. Many of you being SUDDENLY awakened to what you carry and the weightiness of what you carry. Things that have tried to hide you, lie to you or lack of direction, suddenly falling off as you are awakened to what is possible in Jesus and the awakening of dreaming again, free from disappointment or regret of the past. It woke you out of any slumber, and filled you with a sense of excitement in greater ways for the plans the Lord has for you, that it is not over, it’s just the beginning.
The enemy has come with fire to attempt to kill you, but you have remained as you saw the fourth man in the fire (Daniel 3:25), and the Lord has come with His fire and purged, purified, refined and prepared.
I heard the Holy Spirit say:
“Where you have been through intense seasons of fire, it is now time for you to move into a season of awakening, impartation and release of My fire through you. You are now to carry My fire more powerfully than you ever have. Great healing, restoration, increase and freedom was given to you in the fire and now it is time for you to take your place in greater ways. Get ready for great favour to open up over you. Get ready for the activation of My Spirit upon you to FATHER and MOTHER many in the body of Christ and in the world. To nurture, to model, to build, to assist and to mentor.”
Instantly I had a vision and I saw many 55 and over who were sitting on the sidelines, suddenly being catapulted to the forefront in different realms and areas, by the Spirit of God to spearhead a mighty awakening of the Fathers and Mothers in the body of Christ and the world. A great move of the Spirit of God of restoring the place of the Fathers and Mothers in the body of Christ.
FIFTY FIVES AND OVER, YOU ARE A KEY!!
I heard the Lord say:
“Fifty fives and over you are a key!” and this sense surrounded me strongly that in this great outpouring and move of the Spirit of God upon us unlike anything we have ever seen before on the earth, that many 55 years old and over could have been feeling like there is such a focus on the younger generation/s and the question has plagued many “What do I carry?” and the sense of feeling left behind, but the Lord showed me that what the Lord is doing now is multigenerational and that what the over fifties CARRY and the Lord will release through them is a KEY to UNLOCK more of what God is wanting to manifest in the Church and into the nations of the world. There is going to be a great UNLOCKING that will take place, an unlocking of the more that God is releasing, that will take place through those fifty five and over.
“Heavenly wisdom will be unlocked and restored in many ways in the body of Christ through those 55 and over.”
I saw these treasure chests of heavenly wisdom and revelation stored within many of these ones and over but it had not been called out, it had been overlooked, not appreciated or thrown to the side, but I saw JESUS HIMSELF placing His hand of release and activation upon these treasure chests deep within the hearts of those 55 and over and SUDDENLY wisdom and revelation was flowing out like tidal waves into the body of Christ. This wisdom and revelation was bringing an even greater unlocking, activation and impartation in the body of Christ.
I saw many over 55 have passionately sought after the wisdom of God. They have chased it, positioned themselves for it and it has cost them a lot but they received great revelation that wisdom is the most valuable commodity.
“Wisdom is the most valuable commodity - so buy it! Revelation knowledge is what you need - so invest in it!” - Proverbs 4:7 (The Passion Translation)
It’s time for the 55’s and over to arise in greater ways! A significant shifting season is upon you! It’s time! You’re going to THRIVE AND SHINE!
