BOOK REVIEW- RISKING HEARTS

BOOK REVIEW- RISKING HEARTS-No distractions, no risks, and definitely NO pilots allowed.  Hope doesn't have time for distractions. Her catering business -- the one her mother always dreamed about --demands all her time and energy. She's not about to risk her heart on a daredevil like Jake.
Jake wants a family more than anything, but he can't figure out how to meet the right woman. When his plane takes a nosedive, he discovers that Hope grounds him more than any crash ever could. He's the one person she's not about to cater to. Can he convince her to take a chance on him before his dreams crash and burn?  AMAZON
A sweet, charming story.   Jake has been a thrill-seeker kind of guy who also has a softer, kinder side too.  Yes, he's chased and caught many women but its getting kind of old to him now.  His friend Sam stirs up a hunger in Jake, for building a life with that "One" special woman.   Sam had been where Jake is, going from woman to woman, thrill after thrill.  But he found his special woman and is riotously happy with his life.  Now that Jake has found Hope, he thinks he might just have found his One.  Only problem?  She won't give him the time of day!  His usual pickup hot line of being a pilot gets him shot down right away.  It usually works with other woman but falls flat with her.  Hope is trying to make her business grow and thrive and she has to deal with some business sabotages.  She just doesn't have time for this.  Even though she found Jake really attractive, the deciding factor was him being a pilot.  That was a Big Noooooo!   There's a reason, which I'm not telling but it will come out.  What a great best friend Hope had.  Sure it was a  man called Tony but he was a great friend to her.  Even when he needled her about different things, she knew he had her back.  Tony was all for Hope giving Jake a chance. As things began to hit the fan for Jake and Hope, I kept wondering if they got back together how in the world would that happen?

There is an Excerpt from "Joining Hearts" with Zoe Montgomery ( a smokejumper team member) as the lead in the story.  Sounds interesting.   A story from the viewpoint of a woman smokejumper and the challenges that they face.   Like a character in the "Risking Hearts" book said about smokejumping, this job is a relationship killer.
I like the Author's "To My Readers"  pages that salute reality of not often mentioned smokejumpers and their sacrifices.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
