BOOK REVIEW- XIN

 BOOK #3
When the trail of Danyael Sabre’s stolen blood exposes illegal scientific research at a Chinese laboratory, it unleashes a designer drug with terrifying side effects and imperils the decades-long peace between China and America.  NSA analyst Mu Xin, the clone of a Shang-dynasty queen, steps into the fray to stem the chaos, but in a land where ancestral worship and beliefs in incarnation exist alongside cutting-edge genetic engineering, will Xin find herself trapped or liberated by her past?   AMAZON  5 Stars

Another Intense, well written story by Jade Kerrion.  The twists and turns and battle plans that Xin comes up with are well thought out, complex and intricate.   Even her relationships are complex, with friends and what little family she has.   After I finished reading this book, as I was coming down from being caught in the middle of it, I thought, "Where does the author come up with this stuff?"
And the emotional parts of the book were off the charts, each person struggling to understand and be understood.  Speaking of emotions, the suffering that Danyael went through in the past, happens again in this book as well.  It's different than before but it just seems like he just can't seem to catch a break when it comes to living a peaceful life. Of course, he's married to Zara now.  Zara the government assassian, shoot first ask questions later beauty.   He wants peace (he's a doctor, a healer) and Zara is almost a walking war zone.  But somehow they work.  Xin has things to work out in her own life and many pieces of her younger life begins to come to the surface, aswering many questions about her turbulent relationship with her mother.

One of the most touching things in the whole book didn't even really have anything to do with Xin.  It was an explanation that Zara gave Xin abut how many times Danyael told Zara he loved her.
She basically said that he had only said it once under duress because he had suffered so many broken promises that the words meant little to him.  He won't say them but she said she didn't need him to because...."Ever time he looks at me, I can almost hear him whisper it.  Every time he touches me, he's screaming it.   When he falls asleep, his head on my shoulder, it rises like a prayer."
Wow, just wow.
Once again I just have to mention that I really like the cover for this book as well.  It just seems like the author picks really good, attractive
pictures for the covers.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
