BOOK REVIEW- A MOM FOR CHRISTMAS

Tess Collier has only two wishes: to be David Bannister's wife and the mother of his darling daughter, Francesca. But she knows those secret desires can never come true. How could they? She, Tess, can never measure up to David's late wife, Leah, who was sexy, beautiful, and confident -- a bright and shining star -- everything quiet, gentle, shy piano teacher Tess is not and never will be. But as David watches his lonely little girl thrive and begin to speak again under Tess's guidance and friendship, will he also recognize how lovely she really is? Can he ever really and truly love her? Or is a marriage of convenience all he'll ever offer?    AMAZON   3 STARS

Even with all the emotions that were being dealt with by Tess, David and Francesca, its a pretty quick read.    Tess was so used to not valuing herself very highly that it continues to crop up in her life even after marriage.  Part of that comes from her childhood; she often sees herself as plain, dull, almost invisible.    She doesn't realize what she brings into other people's lives and how much they liked and admired her.  She also tends to think that the grass is always greener, people are living perfect lives because to her that's what it looks like on the surface.  David was a good guy, who loved his daughter fiercely as does Tess.  Friendship is the first thing to crop up between David and Tess although she has loved him for some time.  Many of Tess's insecurities are stirred when it comes to David's late wife Leah.  Tess just felt like she couldn't compete with that beautiful, vibrant, perfect woman.  There will be a HEA of course but there are issues that have to be uncovered and addressed.  And Francesca has one that will explain a lot when it is uncovered.  Its a secret that has caused her and others a lot of pain.
I liked the cover that was chosen for this ebook, it catches the eye.
