BOOK REVIEW- HOW TO TAME A WILLFUL WIFE

How to Tame a Willful Wife (Shakespeare in Love series Book 1) by [English, Christy]
Anthony Carrington, Earl of Ravensbrook, returns from war to marry his commanding officer's daughter. A man of fiery passion and strict self-control, Anthony expects a biddable bride who obeys him without question. But Caroline Montague is no simpering miss; she rides a war stallion named Hercules, fights with a blade, and can best most men with both bow and rifle. It's a duel of wit and wills in this charming first book of a new series.  AMAZON 3 STARS

Although I liked both of the M.C.'s I found this book to be just okay.  Well, I guess to be truthful, like Caroline, I didn't always like Anthony.  Although, I guess he was a man true to his time period and their way of thinking.   He did "allow" her some freedoms, but I guess there was the rub.  He was doing the allowing.  Caroline was a woman of spunk and fire and she wasn't impressed by the things that most women were.  Now, give her a fine dagger or blade, or an awesome horse and she could be happy for a long time.  Anthony and Caroline had some fierce battles because of those basic differences.  They were both strong people with some very set ideas too.  There is a villain or two in this piece but the main battle is between the 2 M.C.'s.  Not to fret though, of course there is a HEA ending.
