Good main characters, good supporting secondary people, mysteries and action are all in this book.  Oh and romance is in it too. It does take time to develop and it does start out as friendship. Yes, there is attraction between Blaine and Lia.  Lia realizes sooner than Blaine does that she loves him.  Oh, he knows that he really likes her, cares about her and is protective of her but it takes him awhile to figure it all out.  All he knows is that he doesn't want her to leave.

Lia was really Pemilla Jacobs and she had quite the interesting reason to be on the run.  I didn't see that coming. I love it when author's surprise me like that. 
There seems to be more than one enemy after Blaine and his ranch.  So that caused plenty of action.  You just didn't know how or when they were going to strike. 
On a final note, I liked how the title of the book came about.
