BOOK REVIEW- Rafe (Texas Boudreau Brotherhood Book 1) by Kathy Ivan *

When Sheriff Rafe Boudreau catches Tessa Maxwell climbing through the window of a house where she doesn’t belong, the crime rate isn’t the only thing that spikes. Turns out, trouble has followed the small-town schoolteacher to Shiloh Springs, and Rafe and the rest of the Boudreau clan must step in to keep her safe. Can they decipher the clues and end the danger Tessa faces before time runs out?

This was an easy, fast book to read.  I liked the Boudreau family with Ms. Patti and her husband Douglas being at it's center.  And it's a huge family at that.  There's a story that goes with each one of the "boys" which they have gathered to their hearts .  I was concerned that I would be overwhelmed by all of the the young men in the Boudreau family but it didn't happen.
The way that Tessa and Rafe met did bring a smile to my face.  And their courtship was sweet.  Tessa had her doubts about dating again even though Rafe seems to be a good guy.  But her ex-boyfriend Trevor burned her big time with his creepy possessiveness.
Family and community play a large part of the story until things take a dangerous turn towards the end.  Quite the twist it was too.  But it all ends with a H.E.A. which was what I wanted to see.  It was also so sweet that Ms. Patti and family had already embraced Tessa as family way BEFORE the H.E.A.  Nice.
