  15925072

BOOK DESCRIPTION: Movie star Smith Sullivan can't afford any distractions. He's staking his entire reputation on his new film...but he can't stop thinking about Valentina Landon and the fire he sees smoldering just beneath the surface.

Valentina isn't averse to sensual pleasure, or even to the idea of finding true love, but as a Hollywood business manager she's watched too many smart women fall for actors...only to be torn apart when the fairytale comes to its inevitable end.

But when intense weeks together on set turn their heated attraction into red-hot flames of passion, Smith knows he has to find a way to convince Valentina to let him get a little bit closer. Close enough to completely steal her heart...the way she's stolen his from the start.    AMAZON 3.5 STARS

While I really liked this Series, The Sullivans, I can't say that this one is one of my most favorite.  It was well written though and it was "Hot" as well.  So don't let it melt your kindle.
It did have complex, likable main characters, each with  complex lives of their own. It was easy to see that Smith Sullivan was a wealthy, charismatic, much sought after actor and outrageously gorgeous man.   Women all over wanted him and wanted to be seen with him. But he knew there weren't any who really saw him for who he was.  Until Valentina that is.  One of the things I really liked was how tender and patient Smith was with/to Valentina as he wooed her.  She sure didn't make it easy!

Talk about a complex woman, her life to this point had made her that way.  The things that she has seen over the years leave her coldly unimpressed with Hollywood men.   She'd seen that the men who pretended as actors were also quite skilled at pretending at real life.  Everything in her says, "No thank-you" to that.
She has passion in her but she keeps that in tight order and her business acumen is front and center.  The only reason she would have anything to do with Hollywood or actors was to protect her much beloved younger sister Tatiana.  Acting was her passion and she was a shining star at it.  Valentina has been the protecting force for Tatiana as she grew up in the business.  Valentina was 100% comfortable NOT being in the limelight.
This story was different though because it was also a story in a story.  "Gravity" is a movie that Smith has written, is acting in , producing and directing.  And as the movie progresses you can begin to see the parallels between the movie, Gravity and some of the things Smith and Valentina are dealing with.
This also a very emotional story with a H.E.A. for Smith and Valentina.  Along with a great family that surrounds and loves.  That would be the Sullivan family of course.  Their part adds so much to the story as well.
