BOOK REVIEW- SEEING THE SUPERNATURAL by Jennifer Eivaz
For many believers, operating in the gifts of the Spirit has become a normal way of life. Yet there is one often-overlooked, often-misunderstood gift crucial to the well-being of the church: the gift of discerning spirits.
This gift is the powerful supernatural ability to hear and see into the spiritual realm, yet many people who have it may think they are crazy. Finding no help from the church, some have turned to medical doctors and actually been diagnosed with a mental disorder. Jennifer Eivaz, a trusted prophetic voice, has been there, and she offers hope, healing, and practical help. Pulling back the veil, she
· lays a biblical foundation for how this gift works
· helps you discern what you are seeing and hearing
· reveals what is happening in the spiritual realm
· provides insight into the demonic, the angelic, and spiritual happenings
· and more.
The enemy is on the move. More than ever, the church needs people who operate in this powerful gift to expose hidden threats and help lead the church to victory. AMAZON 5 STARS
What a great book! I sure could have used it YEARS ago, it would have explained a lot of what I was experiencing as a young Christian. Just walking through a mall was an agony and I didn't understand what was going on! Thankfully I developed a close friendship with another Christian woman who followed hard after the Holy Spirit. So, she was able to help me some when it came to this gifting. Still, a lot of it was like walking through trial and error.
But I'm glad that this book became available now. This book has balance which I appreciate, along with scripture references It's not a "out there" flaky, spooky,"wing it" kind of book.
I learned a lot from it along with confirmations from things that I experienced. I appreciated Jennifer adding her and her husband Ron's ministry experiences. It helped me get even a better understanding and appreciation for some of those ways God was communicating with me.
I also learned some new things which added a depth to the book for me.
And yes I did see at least a couple of things that I had missed when God was trying to get my attention.
One of the most important things for me to uncover while reading this was, that is gift is a sensory one. That and that there is a name for what happens sometimes. And it's called overwhelming discernment. I'm still chewing on both of those.
I'm getting ready to order a paperback copy of this book, so that I can re-read it and also it might help others too. I guess you could say that I am adding it to my personal "lending library."
