BOOK REVIEW- MY HEART STOOD STILL- The three wily and beautiful McDougal sisters can swindle a man faster than it takes to lasso a calf. But their luck is running out, and they’re about to be hauled off to jail. When the wagon carrying them falls under attack, each sister is picked up by a different man. Anne-Marie, the middle sister, is saved by Creed Walker, a Crow warrior. It’s loathing at first sight, but with bandits on their tail and a cache of gold to hide, Creed and Anne-Marie need each other. Will they learn to put aside their differences and trust each other—and God? And can their growing faith turn their lives around? AMAZON I RATED IT 3 STARS
This story was okay and the main characters were interesting to say the least. Creed was also working with a black man named Quincy, who had his own quirks. Quincy was an honest man, who was humorously terrified of each new outlandish "plan" that Anne-Mare came up with. And I guess, he had reason to be, it did add humor to the story though. They needed her plans because they were ingenious though risky. They always seemed to work out but sometimes there were glitches, because Anne-Marie just seemed to be a trouble magnet. Or at least that is what Creed thinks. Creed is also known to his blood brother, Bold Eagle, as Storm Rider and there is interaction between them and the tribe. In fact Bold Eagle and the tribe helped more than once in their journey.
