BOOK REVIEW- The Scam-The fourth book in the fast-paced, action-packed Fox and O'Hare series from Janet Evanovich, #1 bestselling author of the blockbuster Stephanie Plum novels, and Lee Goldberg, bestselling author of the Monk series.
Nicolas Fox is a charming con man and master thief on the run. Kate O'Hare is the FBI agent who is hot on his trail. At least that's what everyone thinks. In reality, Fox and O'Hare are secretly working together to bring down super-criminals the law can't touch.
THE SCAM takes Fox and O'Hare on a whirlwind adventure--from the Las Vegas strip, to the sun-soaked beaches of Oahu's North Shore, and into the dark back alleys of Macau. AMAZON I'm giving it a 5 Star Rating on Amazon.
This is the first book I have read by this author in this Series. I won't be my last. I loved it!
Interesting start to the book. Lots of action and plots.
Nick? He's a Con man Hoot! Smart, funny, ingenious when it comes to schemes. Oh and don't forget, super confident! Kate's dad Jake, may be a retired special skills man but he's still up for more action. To him, its just another form of vacation. There are quite a few "Thrill Junkies" in this book and Kate is one of them. Yes, its also part of her job but still, when the fighting and shooting starts she's in her element. There are plenty of other people in the story most from other cons They had teams of interesting people. There is some violence, some threatened violence, not graphic but enough for you to get the picture. And as odd as it may sound, laughter. More than once, I found myself laughing out loud. Some of their conversations were just funny! In one part of the scam when Kate asked for her dad's help, He asked if there were explosives. When she said yes, he told her, "count me in".
I wasn't prepared for the twist at the end. Good one!
