BOOK REVIEW- SECOND CHANCE CITY

BOOK REVIEW- SECOND CHANCE CITY-Police officer Nate Hammond led a well-ordered life in Coldwater Bay until a chance meeting with a girl from his past drags him into an extraordinary adventure.
Libby Parish never intended to visit her hometown again. Is the strange obsession to return related to a mysterious comic book? Or someone she left behind?   Sucked into an alternate comic book universe, Nate and Libby find themselves in Second Chance City, home of half-hearted superheroes and a villain with a grudge. Can they find a way home or will their second chance at happily ever after end in death?
AMAZON  I'm giving it 4 Stars.

I really liked this story, it sure kept the surprises coming!   Colorful characters, plenty of action and a history of unrequited love.  There were several other romances that we got to see also.  Nate, what can I say about Nate?  That he was a straight arrow, good guy with a kind heart and a good sense of humor.  He was loyal to his friends too.  I really enjoyed Libby too she had some real fire in her gut.  She was creative as well but had let that side of herself slide. She does get a chance to put her creative side to use in the story.  There was a good cast of villains and good guys and girls as well.  The gizmo's and weapons were interesting as well.    The writer did a good job of writing how the people struggled to make sense of what was going on.  As they were trying to find their balance in this new "world", so did the reader.
Coldwater Bay and Second Chance City and their people were well drawn in the story.  That's all I'm going to say because I don't want to ruin the story for others.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions in this review are my own.
