BOOK REVIEW- ONLY YOURS #5

BOOK REVIEW- ONLY YOURS-Montana Hendrix has found her calling—working with therapy dogs. With a career she loves in a hometown she adores, she's finally ready to look for her own happily ever after. Could one of her dogs help her find Mr. Right…or maybe Dr. Right?
Surgeon Simon Bradley prefers the sterility of the hospital to the messiness of real life, especially when real life includes an accident-prone mutt and a woman whose kisses make him want what he knows he can't have. Scarred since childhood, he avoids emotional entanglement by moving from place to place to heal children who need his skillful touch. Can his growing feelings for Montana lead him to find a home in Fool's Gold, or will he walk away, taking her broken heart with him?  AMAZON  I gave it a 4 STAR Rating

I liked this story.  Both Montana and Simon were interesting people and one thing that they had in common is that they really hadn't seen their own worth.  Sure Simon realized as a surgeon he had worked hard and was extremely skilled at what he did.  He poured all his skill and caring into his patients.  But personally?  What personal life? He just did his work and moved on.  There was always someone who needed his talent but he never really connected anywhere.   He saw himself as a monster because of how his burns made him look.  When Montana showed up i his life he realized he had never met anyone like her.  She was beautiful, fun and brought light into his life.  She was one of a set of triplet girls and saw herself as the screw up.   It had taken her so long to find out what she wanted to do in life.  There had been a few men in her life but they always left or wanted to change her.  She was never enough to any of them.  Montana and Simon as they began to know each other, REALLY, saw who the other person was.  While it pleased Simon, it also scare the daylights out of him too.
At the hosptial there was a special patient that Simon was working with.  A little girl named Kalinda brought dama and emotion to the story.  She also touched Simon as yet another patient wanted him to stay and keep working with her multiple surgeries that would be needed.  Her little therapy dog, CeCe was also winding her way into his heart.  He fought it at first, but was fighting a losing battle.

The therapy dogs part of the story was so enjoyable; as was the surprise of Denise Hendrix (Montana's mother) and the mysterious Max.
