eBook Review: Angel in the Saloon (Brides of Glory Gulch)
Amelia Jackson's life just got turned upside down. She's twenty, beautiful and blind. Her mother has died and she now has been "delivered" to her unknown Aunt, Corrin Dannon, a saloon owner. Its a surprise for both of them, since Corrin stopped talking to her sister twenty years ago, she didn't know she was an aunt. Lady- like Amelia is sure she has been sent to an evil place, because she has raised as a Christian lady and now she is living in a saloon. But not everything is as it looks on the surface. And look out, the men who think she is as beautiful as an angel are beginning to come out of the woodwork!!
I had mixed feelings about this book; it was slow and long in parts, Amelia in the beginning was a bit unlikable at times with her judgmental attitude. BUT, as the story went on, I would say for the most part I liked it. The story began to show that Amelia had been sheltered quite a bit in certain areas, and she began to realize it. I liked that Amelia's faith in action was shown; her inner workings of faith as she depended on God. Corrin was an interesting character, although they didn't go deep into her life, that's probably another book. The story did go deep enough to explain why there was a break between the sisters. The men in the story were real, with flaws in all. If I was to title this review? I would say, Love Stories and Reconciliations!
