Lauren James had no one but her brother, Max most of her rough young life. She'd managed to make a quiet success of her life with her business but had cut off communication with him because of his criminal activities, So when he began calling and calling her, she ignored the calls not wanting to be used or drawn into the criminal life of her brother. Turns out that was a big mistake. There is a cartel that is after him and now her too. Jaden Dean, turns up in her life; he owns a private security company with all the necessary experience needed to do the job. A hurricane is adding to the danger as killers pursue them, seeming to be a step ahead of them all the way. Lauren never had to trust anyone but herself till now. And Jaden, pretty much the same. Now they have to work together to stay alive to rescue her brother and find out what's really going on. Nothing is what it seems!
I liked the book, the spunk of Lauren and the unexpected twists and turns. I'm not saying it was my favorite but I did like it. Yes, there were some mild sex scenes; at least compared to what we normally run into.
