eBook Review: Hide in Plain Sight
Andrea Hampton, is a city girl, financial expert. But all it takes to make her come home to Amish country, is her sister, Rachel getting hit by a car. Yes, she has missed Katherine, her independent grandmother but there's just too many painful memories there that has kept her away from the family home. Andrea isn't even sure she has any faith in God and she sure as heck doesn't trust many people. And that includes Cal, the carpenter who just seems to keep popping up. Accidents keep happening, stalkers lurking around, property being destroyed; someone is afraid of mysteries being uncovered.
I really did like this story, it had interesting twists and turns that kept things moving. I even like the fact that Cal, had this huge chip on his shoulder concerning Andrea and his opinions of how he believes she had treated her grandmother and sister. Neglected, them in fact. Its fun to see how things begin to unravel and we get to see who she really is, warts and all. I would title a review " Just a Touch of Amish" because although the Amish people are part of the story, there are not the main theme. The picture on the front of the book might throw people off a bit. But the story had just the right amount, where you didn't get caught up trying to decipher a different language.
