Good main characters who kept my interest.  I'd been introduced to Elizabeth (Lizzie) in a previous book.  And she spent most of her time even then trying to evade Adam.  She wasn't impressed with him thinking he was a rigid, stuffy, boring man.  And she wanted no part of that, so she kept trying to avoid him but he still kept on coming for her. Her goal has been to marry a rake who would lose interest in her quickly and let her live her life as she pleased afterwards.   Adam had a title, was super rich and so many women were after him but that didn't move her at all.   It amused me though that after a while her opinion of him began to change.

Adam definitely had some depths to him although I wasn't even prepared for some of the secrets that he had.   This book has a hero who tries suppress his sexual appetites, some spanking and  a heroine discovering her sexuality. So, yes, there is sexual heat in this story. After all, Adam is a dominant Marquess.

There is a H.E.A. that brings the story to a conclusion.
