4 STARS

This was a well written story with plenty of action.  It also had plenty of unpredictable moments.

Gemma and Boyd worked well together even though they had to work through some times of suspicions.  Especially Boyd at first , there had been hints that she might not be an innocent.

Even as he guards her, a friendship with attraction begins to develop that leads to some very non-bodyguard like heat.  I thought that their emotions and romance  was both sweet and spicy. Both of them have "ghosts" that they have to deal with too. It seems like Boyd is having the harder time about that than Gemma.

I liked the supporting cast when it comes to the investigations and the story comes to a flaming unexpected ending.  With a good Epilogue which I always enjoy.

On a side note, I liked that later on the title is shown to be a good one.  A couple of times that phrase comes up and the reason why.  I like that when the title makes that kind of sense.
