BOOK REVIEW- Steadfast (Eternal Brethren Military Romantic Suspense Book 1) Shirleen Davies

He’s secretive and commanding. She’s having none of it.
Caid “Wrath” McCord never anticipated being tapped to lead a deep cover Navy SEAL team. Never one to shirk his duty, the transition from sea-loving warrior to president of an undercover motorcycle club is as smooth as a ride on his beloved Harley. Nothing interferes with his devotion to his men and their missions…until he meets a fiery, mysterious, motorcycle-riding woman who has all his senses on high alert.
Cara Mortensen considers herself a survivor. With three older brothers, she became a fighter at an early age. Following the death of her SEAL husband and the discovery of his hidden life, starting over in Liberty Lake is a welcome change. No one knows about her past, which is how she wants to keep it. Except she can’t shake the determined president of a local motorcycle club, a man who could be perilous to her life as well as her heart.
Even as walls between them begin to tumble, dangers exist which threaten not only Wrath and his men, but the woman he can’t push from his thoughts. Only his steadfast determination will keep her safe and in his life.
Can he shelter her from danger and his secret life without losing the trust she so fiercely guards?

AMAZON 5 STARS

Man, oh man was this book good. I was hoping that it would deliver on the promise of a good book and did it ever!
Great main characters, great action, romance and supporting cast of people.
Although Cara was an intelligent, well educated woman she also did the requisite stupid thing a time or two.  But mainly, she didn't realize all that was going on at first.  Oh, the attraction thing she got all right but she also had trust issues when it came to men.  She had some serious reasons when it came to men who kept secrets.  So, you can see where some of the challenges that will come between Cara and Wrath, right?
I like how tight the Brethren Posse is and really enjoyed the way they had each others backs.

I have read this author's books before and liked them.  But I have to say that this first book in this series just shot to the top of my LOVED series book list.  I'm hoping that the rest when they come along keep that same kind of quality.
Yes, there is a H.E.A. and the opening for more adventures.  Mainly because only some of the problems that the team faced were solved.  So, you have the choice of ending it right here or continuing on.  My choice?  I can hardly wait for the next adventure.
