BOOK REVIEW- BODYGUARD: Outrageous\Riley by Lori Foster

Bodyguard: Outrageous\Riley (NYT& USA Today Bestselling Author) by [Foster, Lori]
Judd Sanders couldn't believe it when the beautiful, wide-eyed woman he rescued from some drunk hoodlums started poking her gorgeous little nose into his business. She was obviously a menace to herself—not to mention to his libido. Worse, she'd blow his cover. For little did Emily Cooper know that Judd was really a cop—whose cover left him a little too "uncovered" for his liking….

Regina Foxworth has no clue why an unknown assailant is out to get a small-town reporter like her. Or why the police won't take her concerns seriously. So Regina gets a guard dog—make that a four-pound "guard" Chihuahua!—and signs up for self-defense classes. But defending herself is the last thing on her mind when sexy instructor Riley Moore has her pinned to the mat.  AMAZON  4 STARS

Outrageous
While I liked both of  the main characters and the unusual undercover job Judd had it just didn't have the depth that I would have liked.  It's hard to put my finger on exactly how to explain it but it felt lacking in some ways.
It will eventually heat up with sex between the 2 M.C.'s and it's not just sex.  There is caring on both sides but also Judd is trying to keep her from getting hurt because of his uncover work.
At one point towards the end of the book, she did something so stupid I almost wrote how dumb can you get?  She was so over her head. But things do work out though and there is a H.E.A.

I will probably give this a 3.5 Stars on Amazon.

RILEY-
I liked this book and it's main characters.  Riley is way ahead when it comes to his attraction and plans when it comes to Regina.  He affectionately calls her "red" for obvious reasons. And she's been on his radar for some time now.  But he is taking things slower so that he doesn't scare her off.
He's been deeply hurt by a woman before but he recognizes how honorable, sweet and caring that Regina is.  He is tender, protective and possessive about her and is hoping that she will see how great that they would be together.
I liked the dual P.O.V.'s and how Regina tried to deny her attraction to Riley.
There is action as well as romance in this story because there is someone stalking her.
Adding to the enjoyment is the antics of , "Butch"

Any H.E.A.?  Yes and it was well done
"
Overall, I liked the 2nd Book ''Riley'' the best.
