BOOK REVIEW- WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS
When handsome cynic, Justin Dane Burgess rescues big-hearted Lilly Johansen in the snow, his life is turned upside down. Accustomed to avoiding intense relationships and the whole sticky Christmas season, he finds himself drawn into her life and learns to enjoy everything from drinking hot chocolate to decorating a Christmas tree and helping Lilly’s elderly neighbors.
An orphan from a young age, Lilly has learned to create her own family wherever she is. Although Justin seems anti-Christmas, he sure is generous to her. She has been misled by men before. Can she trust her feelings for Justin?
Or will a bad choice Justin makes ruin their chance for forever love? AMAZON 4 STARS
A clean charming Christmas lite story. Really good main characters. Lily found a way to keep the spark inside her alive even when life wasn't so great. She found positive ways to keep hope alive. One of my favorite things that she said was that when her family passed away, she learned to make up her own family. So she made family wherever she was. Justin learned the easiest way to live was without very many deep connections. Pain had taught him that. For him, Christmas was a time when painful things happened, it wasn't a season of joy for him. He didn't like to be the center of attention and wanted to give anonymously. Giving without any personal involvement. What a contrast between the two. Lily was a people person, a giver who wanted connections. There is a HEA for them after the challenges of course. It also leaves the reader with a "feel good" sense, just in time for the Christmas season.
By the way, I thought the eBook cover was attractive.
