The Practice of Delight by  Graham Cooke

Everything is useful in the kingdom. Everything is useful for our development. We’re just learning how to walk with the Lord. Part of that walking with the Lord is about delight. It’s about being delighted in who He is and basking in His delight in you.

Delight is the key to goodness. Delight is a key that opens up the nations.

It opens yourself. “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”4 So delight is attached to your destiny. It’s attached to all your outcomes. It’s attached to who you are and who you are becoming. So when you delight yourself in the Lord, the Lord actually will give you desires. You’ll just wake up and there will be desires in your heart. “Lord I really want to see this.”
And the Lord is going, “Uh huh, that’s why you’re walking this road of delight with me, because if you really delight yourself in me I’ll give you desires for things and then I’ll support you in those and I’ll resource you in those and your journey will just become different, and your story will change.” Your story will change maybe from a tragedy to a comedy. Who knows? But you know the Lord, there’s always going to be a little bit of drama going on because He loves that whole sense of excitement.
Here’s the thing I want you to walk away with. He loves walking with you. He delights to walk in you. What He wants to do is for you to share His delight over you, and pick up on it, and then give back to the Lord that same delight. The best way to start developing delight, become delighted with Jesus. Turn everything into a delight. See where it takes you, okay?

It’ll be so exciting, and you will hear God in ways you’ve never heard Him before.

You’ll see things you’ve never seen before. You’ll find yourself saying and doing things that you never thought were possible, because when you delight you connect with His passion for you.
Let me tell you the bridegroom is passionate. He is passionate about each of us. There is a power in delight that releases everything in your path. You can completely debilitate the enemy by having a sense of wonder because he can’t intimidate you, he can’t make you fearful, and you affect everything he’s doing just by being there. Sometimes you don’t even have to say anything; just you being in a room changes the atmosphere.1
I know that I can walk into a room and change the atmosphere just by being there. It’s called manifesting your spirit, that’s why I wrote a book on it, Manifest your Spirit. How to live in the presence of God that enables Jesus to come through you at really high levels, so that you change the atmosphere, you create a new environment, and everyone gets touched and you probably never said a word.

One person walking with God is always in the majority.7

Always. Yeah? It’s about the power of the one with the One. Always.
When you choose delight as a lifestyle you enter into a place in the deepest passions of God for all people and all things. Honestly, that’s my acquired goal. That’s where I’m heading. I want to know love in such a powerful way that no one can affect me adversely.10
