The Trials mean 3 challenges. But these aren't your ordinary challenges, and he isn't your ordinary 18 year old. Conner Moore has a destiny to fulfill, if he can. He is part of The Elite, a secret group that has been hidden for years. If he can take his place as "Judge" as the prophecy says, it all hangs on winning these trials and proving to Council that he is the one to overcome the evil to come. Not everyone is rooting for him to win, a lot who doubt his ability. Of course he does have those who have helped him along for years but just to make things more interesting there are 2 totally different women who are vying for his heart. And no one is sure who is going to be his final choice; the winner in the Romance Trials .
I wasn't sure I was going to like this book when I realized the hero was 18 years old but the story was so good, after a very short time, never even thought about it again. Interesting characters, unique trials, and even more unique ways of approaching the answers to the trials. I don't believe I'm giving anything away by saying he won each of the Trials because it was just so interesting to see what he did to win. The rest of the people in the story were equally as interesting including the two women, Lauren, and Katie. The only down side? I got to the end of the book and went "Grrr". I have to read the next in the series to get the rest of the story. That's probably going to be the going into battle with the support of some his people and overcoming the evil they were talking about.
But you know what? It a Series and it was so good I think, I'm gonna go for it.
