eBook Review: The Honeymoon Cottage

Camilla Stewart has a Laundry List of Troubles:
She's been accused, and arrested and out on bond until the embezzlement charge gets cleared.  She didn't do it so for her everything points to her fiance as the culprit    Its a lot of money that got stolen from the company she worked for and even her own finances are stolen too!  She barely has a penny to her name, her fiance Dennis Hutchins skipped out on her, leaving his eight year old son, Oliver with her.  She doesn't know how but she's going to do whatever she can to take care of Oliver and protect him as best as she can.  The only thing she can hope for is that the cottage can be sold to give them something to live on.  The last thing she needs when she gets there is for  some local sheriff's captain (Ryan Knight) noticing her and asking too many questions.   Add a new problem to that Laundry List.   He's noticed and all of his law-enforcement senses are on high-alert now.  Uh-oh!  Not a good thing...for Camilla!  Or is it?

I liked this book a lot, it started out in an unusual way and the hits kept right on coming.  There was a depth to each character that I liked.  Even the "supporting characters" of the community were interesting and I am sure will be continued in the rest of the series.  A good, well-written mystery story with plenty of twists and turns, a struggle to trust enough for romance, and lots of action, just the way I like it.  Keeps you guessing all the way through.  Even a few surprises at the end.
