BOOK REVIEW- PAGEWALKER by H. Duke

Pagewalker (Library Gate Series Book 1) by [Duke, H.]
Pagewalker is Night at the Museum meets Doctor Who meets The Pagemaster!”

If you could step into the pages of any book…

Where would you go?
Who would you meet?
What price would you pay?...
When college drop-out April gets a job as a “special collection librarian,” she just wants a paycheck to help pay off her grandma’s medical bills.
If only she knew just how special the collection was…
April soon discovers the library’s secret: a magical portal that opens to the worlds of books…
and she’s been selected to be the portal’s new guardian: the Pagewalker.
The gate shows her things beyond her wildest imagination and introduces her to larger-than-life characters, but is she ready for this responsibility?
When an ancient organization determined to eradicate magic from the world seeks to destroy the gate, April must team up with a diverse cast of characters—both real and fictional—or else the gate may be lost forever...  AMAZON  4.5 stars

I really enjoyed this book a lot.  It was unique with a lot of action and a lot of surprises.  You never knew what was going to happen next.  A real page turner!

April was a really good main character who was SO over her head with this new job.  She more or less got thrown in at the deep end and HAD to swim.  I thought it was such a great twist that April really wasn't all that much of a reader.  And even if she knew about some of the classics, it was because she saw the movie.

I don't want to give too much away because it ruins it for the next reader.  I had the joy of the story unfolding before my eyes.

This book did have a rather dramatic ending..well sort of.  It had a happy for now ending for April with the door open for more adventures.  Which I know that I would like to go on.

What an awesome bit of art on the eBook cover.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion of it.
