BOOK REVIEW- BLIND SPOT (Chesapeake Valor Book #3) by Dani Pettrey

Blind Spot (Chesapeake Valor Book #3) by [Pettrey, Dani]
FBI agent Declan Grey is in the chase of his life--but isn't sure exactly what he's chasing after. Threatened by a terrorist that "the wrath is coming," Grey fears something horrible is about to be unleashed on American soil. When his investigation leads him to a closed immigrant community, he turns to Tanner Shaw to help him. She's sought justice for refugees and the hurting around the world, and if there's anyone who can help him, it's Tanner.

Tanner Shaw has joined the FBI as a crisis counselor . . . meaning she now has more opportunity to butt heads with Declan. But that tension also includes a spark she can't deny, and she's pretty sure Declan feels the same. But before anything can develop between them, they discover evidence of a terror cell--and soon are in a race against the clock to stop the coming "wrath" that could cost thousands their lives.

This author has done it again.  Delivered a great story with also some really good sub-plots in the midst of the main one.  I don't know how she does it but I enjoy the heck out of it.

Declan and Tanner were both really good main characters and we get to see an unexpected side of Tanner that I never expected in a million years.  Her past history, her life before her current one  was really a stunner.  She really had some deep life experiences.

The team of people from the previous books are in this one as well.  And why wouldn't they be?  Not only are they all friends but they are all top of their game when it came to being professionals.  And most of them have worked together as a team many times before  Of course there are also a few other people who get drawn in to help as well.

One of the sub-plots had to do with an innocent  annual outing that turns into something else.  It's so unexpected and confusing when a friend and mentor winds up dead. Many of the team are there when it happens and they are stunned.  This longtime person had always been honorable but now they have to follow the evidence.  And things don't look good.
I don't want to talk about all the things that are going on but there is action, action, action in this book.   Many answers will be given but this is also a series, so one of the main enemies has not been totally stopped yet.  So that means that thread continues.

For those who have been following this series.  Luke is the friend who disappeared 7 years ago has been working in the background and we have seen glimpses of him. But in this book we see a whole lot more of his background work.  For those who have not read any of this series, I'd say don't worry I think you would have no trouble reading this book.  It is fairly easy and enjoyable to read even if you started here.  Although you would miss some of the close-knit friendships of the group.

There is the Christian part of their lives that is included in the book.  It was woven so skillfully into the story.  When they were in trouble they weren't afraid to pray for help or direction.  Something that I always feel I have to mention is that  this author really knows how to write a great book.  Yes, a r n it comes to some Christian authors.  But most have improved quite a bit in that area.  I enjoy the Christian part of it but I also want a really good story to go with that.  And I got it in this book. I've really been enjoying this series too.  So I'm on the look-out for the next one.
