BOOK REVIEW- WOOED BY YOU

Single mom Isabel Garcia’s blood runs cold when an innocent dig in her garden unearths evidence of her late husband’s criminal activity, one she knew nothing about! With her heart in her throat, she calls narcotics detective Linc Heller, and faces another shock-- her wild attraction to the hot detective.
Yet Linc’s perilous profession makes him unsuitable as a potential husband and stepfather. Protecting her little daughter from further heartache, Isabel vows to avoid Linc. But the alpha lieutenant is determined to woo the elusive Latin beauty and show her some risks make life worth living.  AMAZON

I liked both Isabel and Linc.  They were both strong people even though Isabel has been through a tough couple of years.  She has a lot of responsibilities on her shoulder.  She still has her fears to deal with as she is drawn deeper and deeper in her attraction to Linc.  His job terrifies her, she already had to deal with violence from her ex, and wants to stay far from it.  Plus, how can she allow herself or Suzie to give their hearts to him and then have him get killed?  Linc was a strong, smart, tenacious detective but he was still able to be tender and sweet with both Isabel and Suzie.  He was going to need his skill of being tenacious, it was going to help him in his pursuit of Isabel because of her running scared.  Isabel had family that was included in the story and they were colorful and supportive.  Although I liked the book, on the down side sometimes the conversations seemed a bit stilted and there was a fair amount of time spent in the angst of Isabel's fears.
I am always glad when I see that a book has an Epilogue added to the story, I enjoyed it.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
