Although the story line was different and  a good idea, I would say it just "Okay."   I did like the tough Basha and she did have quite the reputation. I liked her and she's been all alone basically.  She also had been running for YEARS.  She was so uneducated in the ways of being a vampire (Immortal) but also  terrified of being killed by the Council if they catch her.  She's just trying to stay alive and she's broken so many rules, that she didn't know about.  If she's labeled a Rogue, she dies, slow and painfully.  That much she does know.  So, the chase is on... But there is also more that Basha doesn't know about when it comes to her family.  Are they really the enemy?
