ARC NOV 2/ Beneath the Silence: A Savannah Sleuthing Mystery (Savannah Sleuths# 6) by Veronica Mixon

 Book Cover

A wedding to plan. A painting gone missing. And Savannah’s most exclusive neighborhood hiding more than manicured lawns.

Thank you for reading and reviewing this advance copy and for your continued support! I couldn't do this without my team!

Emma Lynn Whitmore thought her biggest challenge this spring would be choosing between hydrangeas and magnolias for her wedding. But when her tech-savvy niece Wren uncovers whispers of a stolen masterpiece from the Oglethorpe Club’s private gallery, Emma Lynn and her friends are pulled back into the sleuthing spotlight.

Behind the gates of Savannah’s ritziest community, appearances are everything—and so is silence. With the gala fast approaching, the club’s president begs Emma Lynn, Margaret, Graham, and Wren to investigate discreetly. The deeper they dig, the more unsettling the truth becomes: forged art, boardroom secrets, and neighbors who’d rather protect their reputations than admit a crime was committed.

--MY REVIEW NOTES: Titled:  Trouble comes knocking

A Sweet start. Emma Lynn is  getting tired of going over and over all the wedding decisions but her daughter,  Carrie Rose, and Nadine seem to be enjoying all of it ! What about Margaret, her Matron of Honor ?  Graham Boone just wants to spend more time with his fiance, Emma.  She plans on getting married at the Oglethorpe Club. She had been married before to Henry.  Detective Jenkins, is he for or against her investigating?

This was a really good story with a sweet ending. There's also the question of whether or not Emma Lynn allows herself to be pulled into a new mystery now that she's married?  I hope she does ! I really enjoy this series and was equally happy that I was given an ARC to be able to read this eBook !

My extra notes: people/loved ones at her wedding Wren, Jaycee, Hazel, Nadine, and even Richard and Evelyn Parker  and Emma felt it again that Savannah truth that love and justice could at least stand together beneath the same sky. I loved that !

Thaddeus is Margaret's son and it looks like he has his eye on Carrie Rose.
