I liked this story and I think that the two main characters have a lot to do with that.  Especially Demeter who is both shy AND bold.  There is so much to her that most people don't even see.  She has long made it her way to be invisible like the wallflower she's been comfortable being. She has quite a few skills that  people never would have guessed at.   But Blake finds out about quite a few of her secrets.

Blake is in for the surprise of his life.  There was no way that he was prepared for Demeter.  His life had been full and comfortable to him as he lived his life as he pleased.  Being a rake was all he had wanted to be; no marriage, no children.  Ever.  Now his mother is acting weird. The woman who never had any time for him as a child, is now hovering.  Even his best friend, another rake is concerned about him.  Now his main concern is discovering what is going on about his Aunt Iris's will.  Her illegitimate son has shown up and taken over but things aren't adding up.

I just have to say that I adored Demeter's Aunt Sarah.  She did make things interesting and at times funny.

There is plenty of danger and humor and romance in the story.  It also has a good ending as well.
