Sometimes you can go home again
It’s just not always safe...
Mary Cardwell Savage never meant to send that letter to her ex, Chase Steele. How could she know her words would bring the gorgeous cowboy back to Big Sky, Montana—with an unstable and dangerous stalker following close behind? Now Chase wants to prove that their love deserves a second chance. And this time, nothing will keep him from his heart’s desire…not even a killer.
AMAZON 4 STARS
We learn right out the gate that Fiona Barkley is one twisted woman. Yes, she is beautiful, seems to have it all together but that is all an illusion. Something that Chase gets the full impact of in the opening chapter. She's not one to let go when she has her sights on a man she wants and her eyes are totally focused on Chase. Not only that she is extremely clever and manipulative. As the story unfolds we find out that she has got away with a whole lot of stuff.
Chase's boss and friend knew she wasn't totally right because his wife was friends with her. In fact, Rick and his wife both knew and didn't give him any warning. Some friends! But we find out later that Rick's wife felt sorry for her.
There is also some other possible dangers headed Chase and Mary's way. And they are all dangerous.
There are several mysteries going on. One of them was who is Chase's father and will he ever find out who it is? Will it make any difference if he does?
I do have to say by about the 39% mark on my kindle I figured Chase had re-hashed something enough. The regret that he left Montana and Mary because they were too young to get married and he had to in order to grow up.
Still, there was plenty of action and adventure going on. And the whole story comes to a very satisfying conclusion. Which is why I am giving it 4 stars on Amazon when it opens for ratings.
