Description
Discover New York Times bestselling author Cherrie Lynn’s Deadlock,
featuring a team of elite military hackers who will do whatever it
takes to protect their country and the women who enter their dark and
dangerous world.
Ex–Air Force hacker Jace Adams is the best at what he does. There isn’t a system he can’t infiltrate or a country his team can’t topple. But when he finds Lena Morris, the woman he hates most in the world, on his doorstep, the last thing he wants to do is help her. Or is it really Lena?
Lindsey Morris can’t believe her twin sister, Lena, is missing, with only a cryptic text to find the man Lena once betrayed. But as easy as Jace is to look at, getting him to agree to help her find her sister is a lot harder. He refuses to put his team at risk, until they find out the enemy they’re facing may be one they have in common…
As Lindsey and Jace race against the clock to save her sister, their shaky truce begins to morph into a fire they can't control. But their lack of trust might be exactly what gets them killed.

The main characters pulled me in pretty quickly. In so many ways it was a pretty emotional story! With a lot of secrets, mysteries and dangers tossed in! And yes, brace yourself because there will be some steamy scenes.
Jace has lived quite the rough life for years. But he finally found "home" with The Nest, with a seemingly misfit group of people. Helix is one of those people that is more than just a co-worker, or friend. Jace sees him as a brother. But Jace is still livid over what Lena did to him; she stole SO much from him.
Lindsey had a fairly solid family upbringing although she kind of had a love-hate relationship with her twin sister Lena. Their father put it pretty accurately when he said that they were like night and day. And he really didn't know about all the darkness that had surrounded Lena's personality.
But who is Griffin and how does he figure into all of this? Is he a good guy or a bad guy?
The danger just keeps ramping up and the "villain or villains" just keep having them run in circles. Just like a dog chases it's tail trying to catch it. But they do come up with some answers. But about the time I figure most of the secrets have been revealed the Epilogue brings up a HUGE question!
It seems like a H.E.A. for now for both Jace and Lindsey. It also leaves the door wide open for more adventures. And since I liked this book so much I think I'd like to go through that door to more adventures.
