So how can she rely on Davis McGuire, the fiercely handsome ex-SEAL she's hired as a bodyguard? And how can she ignore the way his hands-on attention excites her?
One of McGuire Securities' best, Davis wants to protect the sexy doc 24/7 and play by the rules. But as Jamie's stalker grows bolder, Davis's desire grows stronger. Soon he's breaking all his rules—so he can uncover Jamie's secrets in order to protect her…and discover the key to her heart.   AMAZON  5 STARS

What a great story.  I really enjoyed the whole McGuire family, they were a tight knit family who were no strangers to their own brand of tragedy.   I don't think  I've ever read any of this series before but it was a great standalone novel and not hard to get into.   In fact, I'd like to read more of the Battling McGuire Boys, stories.  That said, why did I like this book?  Great characters, great tension and intensity to all the action.  And the romance element wasn't too shabby either.  It was interesting that Davis had bascially stood in the background watching Jamie for the past year, looking for his opportunity for an opening with her.  Now, that alone is so not like him because its clear he's a man of action and not just because of his ex-Seal status.  Its just how he rolls.  He had also watched other men try to get her to go out with them.  They had crashed and burned.  Jamie is attracted to him too and that makes her really scared.  People she cares about, get hurt, seriously hurt. If you didn't guess by now, I really liked both Jamie and Davis.   There were twists, turns and plenty of surprises to this story.  There were plenty of lies told about Jamie too, which made people suspicious of her.  I mean the deck was so stacked against her...she just kept getting screwed over.
Of course the truth will come out.   It won't be easy, it won't be painless but it will be dramatic
