BOOK REVIEW- THE LOST HEIRESS

BOOK REVIEW- THE LOST HEIRESS-Brook Eden has never known where she truly belongs. When her friend Justin uncovers the fact that she is possibly a missing heiress from Yorkshire, Brook leaves the sun of the Mediterranean to travel to the moors of the North Sea to the estate of her supposed family.
The mystery of her mother's death haunts her, and though her father is quick to accept her, the rest of the family and the servants of Whitby Park are not. Only when Brook's life is threatened do they draw close--but will their loyalty come too late to save Brook from the same threat that led to tragedy for her other?  As heir to a dukedom, Justin is no stranger to balancing responsibilities. When the matters of his estate force him far from Brook, the distance between them reveals that their friendship has grown into something much more. But how can their very different loyalties and responsibilities ever come together?
And then for a second time, the heiress of Whitby Park is stolen away because of the very rare treasure in her possession--and those who can save her still aren't sure who to trust.
AMAZON I'm giving it a 3 Star rating on Amazon.

Yes, there are plenty of people with various motives.  The servants at Whitby Park are slow to trust Brook.  And at least at first they don't make her transition easy.  Of course, there had been so many other, false, pretenders who claimed to be the long lost daughter and heiress.  Brook's father, and their developing relationship was enjoyable to walk through.  The long standing friendship between Brook and Justin was so sweet and enjoyable to witness. Brook was so vibrant, charming and impulsive.   Justin is more the cautious, steadying influence.   Even though he is the one who taught her some of the things that English society would frown on.  Like riding astride, driving a car, shooting a pistol to name a few things.   Of course things begin to change when Justin realizes he is crazy in love with her.  He is agonizing with the thought that she still thinks of him as a brother.  Could it ever be more than just that?  It looks like it might if they ever get through all the misunderstandings and are just honest with each other.   Messing things up even more are the mysteries; some long-standing and some more recent.  Answers are coming but you will have to stay the course until the end.
By the way, this is a clean romance.

I received a copy of this book via Bethany House in exchange for an honest review.
