BOOK REVIEW- HER FAVORITE MISTAKE

BOOK- Her Favorite Mistake
Sometimes a woman makes a mistake. Sometimes he’s hard to forget. When Vanessa Randall appears on "Eye of the Tiger," a popular reality TV show, she isn’t prepared to see her Vegas Hunky Hottie from four years earlier. She may need Alex, now an Internet mogul, but he’s the last man she wants back in her life.

Oh, Alex recognizes her all right. The long-legged brunette had called herself Vivien Leigh before slipping out before dawn. More than a little ticked off, he becomes Vanessa’s mentor to help her ramp up Randall’s Whipped Cream Cakes. Revenge can be sweet. When their business arrangement becomes personal, things get complicated. Alex and Vanessa struggle with commitment issues, but her toddler wins Alex’s heart. Still, she holds back. Can sand castles and cinnamon toast help her decide to make her "favorite mistake" her forever man? A heart warming romance on Lake Michigan with subtly sexy love scenes.  Amazon Link

I really liked this book.   Vanessa had quite a bit on her plate.  The men in her life sure seemed to never be there for her.  So, you can see why she has trouble trying to trust Alex; she's used to taking care of things herself.  Her Grandfather Joe, being the only exception so far.  Even with all the pressures she has, another thing she also has is a loving family She also has several close girlfriends that she has know since forever.
One of my favorite phrases in the book was, when Vanessa was at a party and a woman was all over Alex.  "Vanessa could taste the strong perfume".  Love that phrase.  The story behind the title of this book was interesting as was some of the bread crumbs the author left throughout the book about a certain "issue''.    No, I'm not telling what the issue is, I think it would spoil the story telling.  I didn't like the lie that Vanessa told and kept telling and adding to.  But she had trust issues and this showed it once again.  I haven't even said much about Alex yet.  A really good guy who at times was totally clueless especially when it came to Vanessa.  She really threw him a curve when they met and still managed to keep him off-balance most of the time.  A good guy, who  just happened to be a Hottie who favored different colored bow ties.  So you can see that he is quirky as well.

I have read several of the books in this series and I liked them all.

This one is My Favorite so far.
And I liked the cover picture for the ebook.
Different but appealing as well.   The etching of the skyline
at the bottom of the books was a nice touch and I forgot to mention it in other reviews.
“I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review”.
