BOOK REVIEW- TOGETHER WITH YOU

BOOK- TOGETHER WITH YOU-  Ryan thought hiring Carly Mason as nanny was a key move in reconnecting with his children, but will the attraction between them send his plans into chaos?

This story is so much deeper than just what the Amazon intro had to say.  Its a Love Story, on so many different levels.  Carly is a nanny but so much more,  She has training in dealing with special needs children; especially those affected by Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Effects.   A little girl, Penny Tremaine gets lost in the mall where she is the manager of a store.  Carly finds her and oh so much more, a family in great need of restoration.  It also brings Carly face to face with a failure that she's never totally gotten over.  Ryan had an affair that destroyed his marriage and his family.  He has two boys Kyle and Eric who he's trying to re-connect with, and his daughter Penny who was the result from that affair.  The story was well written, showing many of the challenges that were not only facing Penny but her family as they try to deal with her special needs.  I felt that it was pretty realistic, even though I don't personally have any experience in that area.   The different struggles of each person in the story was really well done even Penny's aunt Denise who was more hurtful than helpful most of the time.  Carly begins to struggle with her faith when it comes to her receiving forgiveness when it comes to that past mistake.  Very realistic as well, to my way of looking at it.
I found this story to be interesting, realistic and a clean read.  There was one point over halfway through the story where I felt it began to drag just a little; but it wasn't for very long at all.  Would I recommend this book?  Yes.  Will some people possibly not like the Christian aspects or the desire for some to come to Jesus?  Maybe, but it was a good story, I hope people go for it anyway.

I received a free copy of this book from Bethany House in exchange for an honest review.
