Isaiah 22:22And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David. He shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
2014.....Fourteen is a double portion number....it is double the number 7 which symbolizes rest, completion, perfection, and finishing. We are in a season of the mantle of Elisha being released in full measure.... A Double portion of miraculous power, financial release, prophetic anointing and marketplace influence will be measurably manifested.
This is the year to receive the double portion mantle of the prophetic and transformation just as Elisha received a mantle from Elijah. "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me!" This was Elisha's request and must become the cry of the church. What we receive with a fresh baptism of fire and power by the Holy Sprit will be far superior to the double portion mantle of Elisha!
The first thing Elisha did after receiving this mantle was to go in and break the curse off the land bringing healing and transformation to a city. The church must begin to take the double portion release of God's Spirit and utilize the power to do more than just satisfy our own needs and circumstance. We must look to see where curses are holding people and territories in captivity and begin to demonstrate the Kingdom of God in bold new ways, bringing freedom, healing and joy to our cities. Look what it says in the following verse...
Acts 8:5-8...Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8And there was great joy in that city.
We bring joy to our family, our business environment, our schools, our churches and our community whenever we demonstrate the power and reality of the Kingdom of God.
"Please let a double portion of your Spirit be upon me!"
