Piper and Cord were both really good main characters and I enjoyed getting to know them.
Their story was pretty good and the author did a pretty good job of making the reader think I know who the guilty party is. Piper's brother Fowler was right on the top of my list but that is probably because he was so unlikable and pushy.  Keep reading though, because there is more than one twist and you're probably going to get it wrong.

The story line about Cord's niece Renee added to the story as well. And let's not forget Cord's "ugly" dog,  Truman.  Well, at least other people thought he was ugly but not Cord or Piper.

Although there is a H.E.A. for the main characters, I have to say that I was unsatisfied that there was no answers about  Eldridge Colton. It was charming story but also felt like you were left hanging on some issues.   Is her adopted father alive or not? What happened to him?  If he's dead who killed him?  Yes, those kind of questions. I didn't realize until later that there were multiple authors involved in this series.  I might not have been so quick to grab this book had I known.   Not so sure that I'm a fan of that.
