BOOK REVIEW- SPECIAL FORCES SAVIOR (Omega Sector: Critical Response) by Janie Crouch
Omega Sector agent Derek Waterman is hunting the architects of a lethal terrorist bombing. After weeks of chasing cold leads, he has finally found the evidence that could expose the perpetrators. But in order to take them down, he needs help from Dr. Molly Humphries, Omega's lead forensic scientist.
Shy Molly works to retrieve the data-and overcome her debilitating crush on the sexy agent. Derek carefully suppresses his mutual smoldering attraction, sure that his dark past will drive Molly away if she knows. But when Molly's kidnapped, he will stop at nothing to save her. Even if a lethal enemy will do everything to keep him from doing so. AMAZON 4.5 STARS
I really liked this book and it kept me zipping right through the pages. I really liked the main characters and their at times shaky connection. Oh, they wanted each other but big, brave Derek thought he was too dark, too damaged to be with someone so gentle and sweet as Molly. He weakened a few times around her, which really sent such confusing messages to Molly. Each time he would get close to her, afterwards he would put distance between them. Making her wonder, "how did he really feel about her?". Or was it all on her side? All that tension made her a stammering wreck a lot of the time she is around him. It causes quite of a bit of amusement when other people are around and they come to expect it. Molly hates it because like she points out to herself she is a smart, skilled woman with several degrees. The people at the agency do recognize her brilliance when it comes to her lab.
This book not only has the emotional struggle between the two main characters but action, action, action. It really keeps things moving along. Some of this action is provoked by an enemy who seems to be a few steps ahead of them for quite a while.
This book also has several good supporting cast of people. That includes Steve (their boss) and two men who are not only fellow Omega agents but also got your back friends (Liam and Jon)
I enjoyed this book so much I will be looking for more of the books by this author.
There is a short look into "Tough Justice: Exposed by Carla Cassidy. And it comes out with a punch. Very interesting indeed.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion of it.
