BOOK REVIEW- THE SURROGATE'S SECRET by Mimi Barbour

Surrogate mother, Sheri O’Connor, loves her adorable twins. Since the donor parents were killed before their birth, she’s gladly taken on the responsibility to raise them herself. When their Chilean Uncle, Miguel Rivera, arrives with no warning, expecting to take them back to his country, she unravels and coldly informs him that isn’t going to happen. I liked this story; the uniqueness of it caught my eye.  I also liked both Miguel and Sheri.
When it comes to Miguel, I have a question.  How do you say Idiot in Spanish?  Although to be honest, in some ways Sheri wasn't too smart either. They both suffered unnecessary pain because they didn't communicate very well.  Of course, I could see why Sheri withheld one piece of information when she learned it .   But if either of them had communicate better, this would have been a much short book wouldn't it?

I enjoyed Miguel's mother and his nanny was a bit of a hard woman to deal with.  But it did make them good secondary people in the story.  Charly  caused several different problems without even know it.  She was just busy being Sher's best friend.  She had a interesting personality and I wouldn't mind reading more about her too!

This book also had some twists and turns; some surprises that added enjoyment to the story.
