Ever since Domitian Argenis recognized Sarita as his life mate, he’s been waiting for the perfect moment to claim her. Those fantasies did not include him being chained to a table in a secret lab or both of them being held hostage by a mad scientist. Somehow, they have to escape…
Sarita has seen some crazy things as a cop, but nothing to rival Domitian. A vampire? Seriously? But his healing ability, incredible powers, and their mind-blowing physical connection—none of it should be possible, yet her body knows differently. Now, not only do they have to save each other, but other innocent lives are at stake. Failure is not an option, for Sarita intends that Domitian show her exactly what an eternity of pleasure feels like…AMAZON 3.5 STARS
Mixed feelings on this one. I did like both of the main charters, so that is a plus. And some of the secondary people were interesting too. Also a quick pop in from some people from previous books.
Did anyone else notice that some of the story had a bit of a feeling like the movie, "The Island of Dr. Moreau"? Of course with the element of some Immortals thrown in too. Not a bad story but as I read it, "I thought please let this be the end of this Dr. Dressler. I'd really like to see this part of the stories come to an end". I guess you will have to read the story to find out how THAT went.
If you are looking for action and a chase; yes there was that as well. There was some action of the "horizontal" kind as well. Of course, because of the attraction between life mates.
On a final note, I guess this Series is starting to lose some its "sparkle" for me. At least this book came in at middle ground for me.
