She’s chaos in heels. He’s control in a tailored suit. Together, they’re pure combustion.
Roxanne Childs doesn’t just play the piano—she devours it. Loud, brilliant, and impossible to ignore, she’s always been a storm in motion: dazzling, reckless, unforgettable.
Alex Wolfe is her opposite in every way. Calm. Calculated. Born into power, he’s used to being in control. But one blind double date collides him with Roxanne—and his carefully ordered world never recovers.
Their attraction is magnetic. Their love? Messy, steamy, and impossible to contain. From scandalous nights in Toronto to second chances years later in Ashby Lake, Roxanne and Alex crash into each other again and again. But loving a storm means surviving the wreckage—and Roxanne has always been better at running than staying.
The Making of a Storm is a bold, sexy, and emotionally raw romance about chaos and control, love and identity, and what happens when the girl who always runs meets the boy who refuses to let her go.
Thank you so much for picking up The Making of a Storm! This book means the world to me — it’s bold, messy, and full of heart. Roxanne and Alex are opposites who collide in the most chaotic, beautiful way, and I hope you love their storm as much as I do. Reviews don’t need to be long — even a few honest lines about how the story made you feel are incredibly valuable. I’m so grateful for your time and support. 💜 Thank you for helping me share this story with the world. —Tasha

MY THOUGHTS: 5+STAR Titled: Romance, pain & Hilarious Laughter !
I adored the Beautiful eBook cover. Great forward in the book ! I would like to add that sometimes we hear that we're NOT ENOUGH ! The author mentioned that this book is a deeply personal love letter to every woman who was ever told that they were too loud, too wild, to sensitive or too much ! You are not too much. The world just wasn't ready. I LOVED that message and I heard it loud and clear !
And what a great storm was inside this book ! I totally fell in love with it. I loved that Roxanne, was a redhead and wasn't afraid to claim a reputation of being flame like !!! And quiet, strong, damaged Alex who begins to totally understand Roxanne aka Roxy? Yes, tender, tough and so afraid of not being seen for who he really was and to be loved for real ! Roxanne has her own issues around those very same issues although she's not about to admit it. Their first meeting was hilarious, hot and make me laugh too! Roxanne made "friends" wherever she went, lovers too but she never stayed !! But she has gone just everywhere and done some interesting jobs. Lol ! The only ones who stayed were her two gay friends, Sebastien Bakke and Billy. Seb was the all glitter a friend from high school who added so much fun and laughter and support to the story ! And Billy, was the calm, steady one who does get shocked by Roxanne from time to time but still adores her and wants the best for her !
Poor, rich Alex didn't have any friends but he's about to be introduced to Roxanne's "Hilarious Two" -Sebastien and Billy. He observes them a lot at first both horrified, and stunned but these were Roxanne's go-to guys. Later, he likes them and is amused by them and also needs them ! But Alex was ALWAYS there for her. His sad excuse for a controlling, dad, David was one pushy, non-emotional guy to his son ! The jury is still out on him !
Roxanne's family were just a bunch of cold, colorless jerks. Her mother Mimi was the worst. How could a mother hated her daughter so much ??? Her brother, Carl is just kinda dumb and uncaring and his soon to be wife, Charlotte is just "beige" as Roxanne would say ! I say, dump them all Roxy !
The 5 year separation of Roxanne and Alex almost broke me. It was SO sad ! But it's all worth reading this emotional, loving, hilarious, heart touching story because the Epilogue? Oh. Wow! The best !!!
I received an ARC from the author and Booksprout and couldn't wait to read and then review it !
