MY REVIEW- 4 STARS titled: I liked but with some strong reservations too
Action right out of the gate! The chase is brutal and starts within minutes of the story. It's intense right from the start ! Amber is also known as AKA Sage and her online presence is now a major part of her problems. The story does start out with Ivan as the main character and I loved the alternate P.O.V.'s of Amber and Ivan. He's one tough guy, whose gonna have to get a LOT tougher and fight harder and dirtier than he ever has before in his life. Jude is Amber's younger brother who suffers from serious, Diabetes Type 1; which adds a lot of problems for Ivan as he desperately hunts for Amber. And Ivan is being sent nasty videos of Amber nasty torture. The person who made sure Amber was suffering was Iva's ex-fiance, Anya. And she is one nasty, evil piece of work. She also adds the highest torture and humiliation through Kiril , a young man who really doesn't want to do it ! He really has no other choice even though he does care about Amber. He can't stop it. Anya's evil father, Vladmir Morozov is even worse. He just wants Amber to die. Basically kill her and get it over with. Well,not until he can control Ivan and not only own him but all of his businesses. Then it was whatever !!
What is will happen to all of them? Amber?Roman? Jude? The baby? Will they be able to over come the "evil twins" of father and daughter? Will they ever be free ?Ivan will do whatever it takes to get Amber back. Although, he'd really like to just kill, Anya and her controlling father !
And what happens to Kiril? Who is he really at heart, and will he make it out alive? He really did some evil things to Amber. Will he finally help Amber & the baby get out alive? It's going to be a close one folks. But there is a lot of love there between Amber, Ivan, Jude and the Ivan's staff ! One of my favorite scenes is when Jude introduces Iva to the idea of praying! Ivan doesn't have a clue but he does say that he will pray. And Jude gets Ivan to sing. "I've got a friend in you". So tender. Sigh
