4 STARS/ MY REVIEW TITLE : Isla and Lucien fight

Intriguing eBook cover.  The story open with Isla at age 13 knowing about her first death- Maddox. He's one of her dad's partners who is killed in action.  She  cared about him and kind of had a crush on him. So  she is devastated to hear that he was dead !

Then it's 10 years later and a bullet just narrowly misses her head.  Her father, Gabriel Ashford has made some really bad choices and now Isla is in more than one person's scope ! She just doesn't realize at first just how bad that it is !!  Lucien Maddox appears out of nowhere suddenly and saves her life ! Is she grateful ? Nope not at first, she's livid about the lies and he just keeps jerking her around from place to place with almost no explanations ! When he suddenly barks out thee command that they are getting married?

Prepare for fireworks !!! She's going to fight him every step of the way ! He's pretty smart but she's not afraid to go toe to toe against him and his team. 

In the beginning of the story, I felt a little bit of whiplash because it felt like the transition between the two people's thoughts was a bit rough. But it did smooth out, and the action and enemies assaults ramped up. It kept everything really interesting.  I really liked both Isla and Lucien. I enjoyed them fighting, snarking back and forth and then finally fighting their real enemies !
