5+ STARS and I wish I could give it more

Brilliant ! Outstanding ! Even better than I hoped for !  This story was a total thrill ride ! Made me want to read more about this series.  Imagine my surprise when I found out, Book 2 is in my TBR pile!

But getting back to this story. I totally fell in love with both of the main characters, each on their own was unique.  But put them together and they became a powerhouse of loyalty, skills, cleverness and loyalty to each other and country. I also enjoyed the romance between Michael and Nadia and that was without  needing detailed sex scenes.  Oh, there was sex suggested between them but I enjoyed the affection and trust  But they had no idea of the depth of the lies and the betrayals that awaited them.  Good thing that they had at least Joseph and J.R. as known allies that are there for them, all the way though.

The same thing can't be said of Gerald Reid and his sidekick assistant,  Kendra Burges.  It didn't take too long to figure what side of the fence they were on.  But that by no means ruined the story by knowing that.  Reid was not only a power hungry, evil, man with a lot of money behind him but he was also clever with a lot of people he could use illegally to hunt Michael and Nadia.

The world building was off the charts good!  As was the hunt on both sides, it made me feel like I was right in the middle of things.

It started excellent, stayed exciting and excellent and it ended the same way !
