5 STARS
I had mixed feelings on this book. But with my favorite being worth the whole book:  RESCUE: RANCHER STYLE. I really liked that one.
THE HAWK’S SHADOW * Diana Palmer-  When it started I wasn't sure if I was going to like it because of the abrasive almost juvenile way Gil and Nemara started out. I really didn't like Nemara at all.  But as the story went on, I began to see more of what had been going on in both of their lives.  I ended up liking the both of them.  While I liked the story, it wasn't one that I loved.  It was just okay.
RESCUE: RANCHER STYLE * Rebecca Zanetti
This is the one that gets 5 STARS from me.  The people, the challenges, the misunderstandings and even some unexpected danger did it for me. Greg has his hands full with his deceased brothers children.  Then add in the threat of losing the teenagers, Lucas, Jordy and Hannah.  Losing the kids also means losing part of their inheritance if their greedy step-mom has her way.
Greg had already lost Tara years ago but it looks like he might have a chance to win her over.  But not being much of a talker or sharing his plans could very well bite him in the butt.  Tara never stopped loving Greg but figures their time together will be extremely limited.   I liked that they do get their H.E.A. but it's no walk in the park. The Epilogue leaves a smile on your face.
A COWBOY KIND OF ROMANCE * Delores Fossen
A cute story in it's way with a H.E.A. but it just didn't grab me.  It was just okay. All the hearts and ditzy stuff by Tara's sister, Mandy not only annoyed Brenna but also Theo.  I have to admit it began to annoy me too.   Although I liked both Brenna and Theo, I have to say that this one really wasn't my cup a tea.  I was surprised that it wasn't.
