BOOK REVIEW- SUPERB AND SEXY (Sky High Air #3) by Jill Shalvis
Buckle Up. It's Going To Be Quite A Ride.
Despite his brooding bad-boy attitude, Brody's luxury charter airline, Sky High, provides the perfect escape route whenever things get complicated. And lately, things have become very complicated, thanks to the insanely passionate, or perhaps just insane, kiss he shared with Sky High's gorgeous, wisecracking concierge, Maddie. He's tried to keep his distance, but now Maddie desperately needs help, and it's triggering alpha-male urges Brody didn't even know he had--especially after he finds out that Maddie and her twin sister Leena are in big-time trouble. To save Leena, Maddie and Brody must pose as husband and wife. Good plan, except it's hard to tell if the heat in bed is acting or something too good to be true. . .AMAZON 4 STARS
Finally, Maddie's story. And it has a very interesting start. Well, it's not JUST Maddie's story. What made her so bold, brash, with her take-charge take no prisoners attitude? She had attitude in bushel fulls and carried it off super well. She often had the guys at the airlines not wanting to cross her and that included Brody. Big, bad Brody. Brody and Maddie often clashed but he still respected the heck out of her and her abilities. I ended up really liking both Maddie and Brody.
The story blurb was not kidding when it said "Buckle Up. It's going to be quite a ride." And it was and it was a wild one. There was surprise after surprise and some really good "clashes" between the main characters. All it did was cause me to hope for a really good outcome for both of them..They both came from some hard backgrounds although to outsiders it didn't look like that when it came to Maddie.
As Brody is drawn deeper and deeper into how Maddie's past is affecting her present, he begins to understand a whole lot more about what drives her. A lot of those things she never wanted him to know.
Maddie wasn't used to having someone in her corner and she's not good at asking for help. Brody never felt like anyone ever really needed him. Well, not until this adventure with Maddie. Even though Maddie keeps trying to ditch Brody. She is trying to protect him and keep HIM safe. As you can guess that does not go well with Brody.
I enjoyed this book and now because I read the books out of sequence, now it's time for me to go back and read the book I missed.
On a side note-
Not sure that the cover pic of this book matches my idea of what the people look like. Especially since they were both kind of described as to their style in the book.
